Cool down post-workout with this nutty treat.

Summer workouts can be sweaty and leave you feeling hot for hours after. You come out of a hot gym, into a hot car and go home to your hot house. What better excuse to cool down than with a frozen treat?

If you treat yourself to anything this summer, let it be an ice lolly mould. There are so many possibilities. Clear Whey ice lollies are a given, but @healthy_floflo has mixed it up with this indulgent recipe — high protein peanut butter ice cream.

Servings
4 ice creams

Ingredients:

  • 1½ very ripe bananas
  • 100g yoghurt
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Impact Whey
  • 30g of All-Natural Peanut Butter
  • 15g maple syrup

Toppings:

  • 3g chopped peanuts
  • 5g dark chocolate
  • Pinch of salt

Equipment:

  • Ice lolly moulds
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Handheld blender

Instructions

1.

Add the banana, yoghurt, protein powder, peanut butter and maple syrup to a large bowl.

2.

With a handheld blender, combine the ingredients until you have a smooth, thick mixture.

3.

Grab your moulds and fill with chopped peanuts, dark chocolate and salt.

4.

Put the ice cream sticks into place and pour the ice cream mixture into the moulds, over your toppings.

5.

Freeze until hard.

6.

Enjoy post-workout for a cooling protein boost.

But as a huge fan of carbs, if it’s not pasta or pasta-adjacent, she’s not interested. If she’s not in the kitchen, she’s tucked up with a book for an early night, or you’ll find her in the gym working up a sweat. Afterall, all those carbs require quite the appetite.
