‘Tis the season for salads. I don’t know about you, but as soon as it reaches 20 degrees, I get an almost instant craving for salads. Who am I kidding? It’s more like 17 degrees. And if you think I'm bonkers to crave a salad, then you’re not doing salads right.

At Myprotein we take our food very seriously, from snacks to shakes, fakeaways to salads. And in a time of increased cost of living, we’re trying our best to make recipes as nutritious and cost effective as possible. These recipes aim to use up store cupboard staples, like that loyal tin of chickpeas you picked up way back when. Happy tummies and happy wallets alike.

Note: all prices are taken from ASDA online, so prices for each recipe may vary depending on where you shop.

Cold Peanut Noodle Salad

Noodles, veg and a peanut sauce — now that’s my kind of salad. You might want to slice your noodles up if you’re taking this into work, unless you want to risk slurping noodles up into your mouth while splashing sauce everywhere. Or maybe I'm just a messy eater.

Easy Pasta Salad

There’s so much more to a salad than just a couple of leafy greens and leaving it at that. We're pretty set on having a delicious salad, and the key to that? A carb source. Few days go by where I don’t eat pasta, so this salad ticks all the boxes.
