Waxy maize starch is a complex, long-chain, high molecular weight carbohydrate. Our Waxy Maize Starch has a high percentage of Amylopectin (95-99%) and a low percentage of Amylose (1-5%).
Waxy maize starch is suitable for almost all individuals including vegetarians and vegans. Ideally, WMS is suitable for those who are physically active and want to increase their energy levels through the intake of complex carbohydrates.
WMS is soluble in water, mixes best with a shaker but can also be shaken and consumed immediately. It has a neutral taste and is an excellent consumed on its own or when added to formulas such as protein shakes and pre workout drinks.

After trying dextrose which was just sugar basically. I tried waxy maize starch. Found it to be very good as it tastes fine and mixes easily with my Shake. Great for getting carbs in. Compared to Maltodextrin, this is more expensive, mixable only by using a mixer and has a slight hint of a maize / vegetable / disgust taste, it is still by far the better - I would even argue the best - carb powder. The reason is the much lower glycemic index, which means that the sugar chains are longer and harder to break down. This means a more consistent blood sugar. Aside from reducing the chance of type 2 diabetes, I can feel the difference. With this, I feel constantly energetic throughout the day. There is no fullness after meals or low blood sugar between meals. I found this to be slightly better tasting than the competitors bulkpowders and theproteinworks. This is the carb source in my diy Soylent, so I have been eating more than 250g of this daily for the last couple of months. I do not understand why this is marketed as a fast acting carbohydrate or why it is marketed as such. Fast acting carbs = blood sugar variation which makes you more tired and more prone to type 2 diabetes!
Not suitable for me! Had a stomack pain and diarrhea! So If you have a weak digestive system this product is not for you!
