"Chocolate is WAY WAY WAY too sweet. I've only managed to stomach it by adding twice as much plain yogurt as powder and 1/2 tsp of vitamin C powder to take off some of the sweet edge. I've just ordered the plain one instead and I'll make a "syrup" from molasses (great for iron and other minerals), low fat cocoa powder, vanilla and water and keep this in the fridge to mix if I want it to have a chocolate flavour. The protein blend itself is good, definitely curbs my hunger, and helps the muscle become more solid and so helps melt the fat - and mixes pretty well using the myprotein shaker. As a vegan it's difficult to get enough protein when you are working out hard unless you resort to powder or consume way too much soya. I've used the Garden Life raw protein seed blend in the past which is amazing but as it has to be sent from the US at the moment it's way too pricey - would love it if Myprotein start doing something similar to that too."

"Recently purchased Vegan Blend (Choc Smooth). It is quite delicious, if anything a little on the sweet side. It mixes well, but you do get an ever so slight grit taste, I'm guessing from the rice protein as I had a real problem with mixability from that product. Overall it's a definite winner."

I like this product but more flavours are required. Choc Smooth is too sweet even if I use plenty of water to mix it. There is also a slightly gritty texture - it's not as smooth as whey.

"After a lot a research I decided to look into a different source of protein supplement. I'd read that changing from animal based whey to a plant based source would not only be better for my health overall but would aid me in shifting that pesky visceral around my lower abdomen. I bought the chocolate flavour fully expecting it to taste pretty rough in comparison to my previous powder (Impact Whey) but, after an initial shock to my taste buds, I found it to be very palatable and, most importantly, it has helped that pesky fat to disappear. The only downside to this product is the mixability isn't too amazing and the flatulence created by it is bad enough to kill a Shetland pony. "
