Accidentally got the unflavoured one, this was a mistake. I don't normally care too much about taste, but this is something else, the closest thing I can compare it too is milk that's gone bad. I don't have any problems mixing it though, and I'm fine with the the chocolate one. Goes Well With:nothing
Bought this as Im living a more plant based diet. It does mix well but there's a powdery taste dry taste that hits the back of your throat and isn't very pleasant sadly. The taste is pretty good though. Goes Well With:Oat milk
Found this to be absolutely revolting...bought as trying to cut out dairy for a while but tried on a couple of occasions and could not stomach this drink...no idea how effective it is as cannot try any more of it!!!yuk, yuk, yuk
I have to say this trumps another vegan blend from a certain competitor selling Powders of the Bulk variety... My first reaction was yep that's hella sweet (too much) but once you say heat it with oats...God too good! (chocolate smooth flavour) I whizzed half a scoop in a trial smoothie with only spinach and some flaxseed with unsweetened almond milk and even that was sweet, but you can't deny the flavour! Must be great to bake with... Goes Well With:Unsweetened almond milk Healthy non sugary smoothies In PORRIDGE
The texture of this powder is extremely gritty, it has an unpleasant sweet taste. If buying, would recommend to add to porridge or smoothies with plenty of cocoa powder. If you want it as a normal protein shake, add plenty of milk and blend with bananas and cocoa powder.Goes Well With:See above
First tried chocolate smooth hoping it would taste the same as whey chocolate, was very wrong. Unflavoured is slightly better, but neither are very nice when only mixed with water, and completely inedible when mixed in with oats as I used to do with whey. Not so much the taste (which tastes of nothing really), but the grainy texture which is hard to swallow, although is easily improved by smoothie-ing up with avocado and banana. Chocolate smooth taste is also improved if you leave it in the fridge for a while, it actually brings out the chocolate flavour. The best thing is that I don't get any bloating or nausea as it is very quickly digested unlike whey.Goes Well With:Banana and avocado
This product is very difficult to any other protein powders I have had from Myprotein, it tastes awful and is very grainy when mixed. I have tried it with both almond milk and water and also tried throwing a banana in but it really isn't nice to drink.
I bought the chocolate blend and the only way I can describe the taste is vile. Ive tried a few different proteins and yeah some are not great and you put up with it but this is literally not even drinkable. Not worth it and I can't even return it!Goes Well With:The Bin.
I am lactose intolerant and as a result I purchase many products branded as vegan. It took me a while to get used to this protein powder however it has now become a major component of my diet. My favorite way to consume this is one scoop mixed in with alpro soy yogurt. It's a really filling yummy snack. It's so good I actually crave it! This protein is also good in smoothies with banana, almond milk, spinach, cacao and peanut/almond butter. Not a fan of this mixed in with porridge the earthy texture does not go well with oats in my opinion. The protein lasts for ages and is reasonably priced. I have suffered from IBS in the past and I have had no issues with this. Big thumbs up from me :) I will continue to purchase in the future!
So I've been using this protein for a good 18 months, ordering a bag or 2 at a time to see me through for a good while having 2 shakes a day. After a while the woody/earthy/nutty taste and interesting texture becomes agreeable and actually a craving at breakfast or after the gym. BUT the taste has now changed on my most recent batch. It now tastes slightly sour. The mixability has also changed, probably for the better as it seems to be less thick now, but this change must be part of the reason for the change in taste. I hope MP have just had a dodgy batch because I rated it highly before. Goes Well With:Water, almond milk.
Does the job. Tastes ok after a few tries and in a banana smoothieGoes Well With:Banana Oats Cacao powder Waffles and pancakes
At first I didn't like the taste of the chocolate flavour, but now after having it every day for a few months I can't actually have breakfast without it! I use it in a smoothie with 1 banana, cashew milk, 2 tbsp cacao powder, a dollop of peanut butter and a load of ice all mixed in a blender - it literally taste like a mcdonalds chocolate mcflurry with all these together! I'd love to have this protein powder in some other flavours to try out.Goes Well With:Banana, cashew milk, cacao powder, peanut butter & milk blended together.
I mix it in a smoothie with 2 frozen bananas, almond milk and raw cocoa powder and it tastes alright. The price is good if you're just going to add water/plant-milk, but when you're adding fruit and powder everyday it adds up so it's not really that cost effective so I'm trying the women's best vegan cookies and cream protein in hope that I'll be able to drink it with just water or a plant based milk. Not sure about how it blends in a shaker as I haven't tried it but it blends well in my nutri-bullet. This is a great extra source of protein (it's not essential but it is very convenient if you want to get extra protein in) and it's amazing that myprotein has introduced vegan options. :)Goes Well With:Bananas, cocoa powder, ice and plant based milk.
Like all vegan proteins this one is a little chalky. I first used it in my shaker and wasn't impressed with mix ability however - when used in my nutribullet it tasted 1 million percent better!!! If you're using it in a shaker drink it quickly because if separates v fast. Goes Well With:Cinnamon Nutmeg Almond milk
When I read the reviews of it tasting awful I thought it can't be that bad..... welp I literally cannot drink it without gagging and almost throwing up. I'm two mouthfuls in and I've had to give up. This stuff might be great but getting it from shaker to stomach is impossible. I'm gonna force myself to get the rest of my first shake down but most likely I'm going to be returning this product. I was really hoping this would taste somewhat decent :(Goes Well With:The bin
I wrote mp an email complaining about the change in taste the sweetness overload with sucrolose and the batches dissimilarity. It seems they don't care nor want to listen. A decent non dairy blend is needed and you are almost there but stop changing it every single batch. Use stevia instead please It is harder enough as it is eating non dairy protein please listen to us the end user. Goes Well With:I have it with avacado banana almond mild unsweetened and three but butter, throw in some blueberries for good measure
It came torn with the powder spilling out everywhere and the plastic scoop in pieces. Really not happy and will never be buying from MyProtein again
Its very nasty and grainy, its not even possible to mix it or make it taste better and the grains irritate your throat.
First time trying this vegan chocolate protein powder, the taste is a bit too sweet for me so I add in some raw cocoa powder which does the trick. Goes Well With:Plant based milk e.g. soy/almond, frozen bananas and raw cocoa powder blended into a smoothie.
I used to purchase this regularly and it used to taste neutral, mix well and was effective. Got a new batch recently and was shocked as to how different it tastes, it is almost unpalatable. Not sure what has changed in the manufacturing but MP need to revert back
