*Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) after highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle. This beneficial effect is obtained with the consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4g per kg body weight, at doses, within the first 4 hours, and no later than 6 hours, following highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.
For maximum benefit, we recommend mixing 2 ½ large scoops (90g) with 400-500ml water in a Myprotein shaker after exercise.

Passion and working hard to achieve it is a great way to be successful in life. Supplements plays an important role in achieving our goals. Fitness can only achieve if we make a good diet plan.Being a bodybuilder I experienced alot of change in my muscles. My clients also experiencing a change in their muscles growth.Progressive overload is the key to gain muscles. It helps to gain muscles faster. Now that you are eating enough to give your body 'extra energy' you will need to stress the muscles so that they respond by getting bigger.Your muscles are currently the size they are based on the level of activity you have done in the past, your genetics and your strength. We cannot change your genetics, but we can however change your strength to a degree as well as elicit hypertrophy (muscle building) by weight training. To put it simply, you need to start progressively overloading your body with some form of resistance training. Honestly, do not get too concerned about finding that 'special' program that will be better than all the other programs out there. There are just too many training programs to try and choose 'the best' one.In my experience, they all work! Yes of course some may be better than others but in the end you will get results no matter which program you try as long as you follow the key rules to muscle building. Rely on the foundation and principles instead of the program. In doing so, you will get results no matter which program you are on.Myprotein impact whey protein, is a first port of call for any person weight training and looking maintian or build new muscle. A decent relaible high quality whey concentrate powder, i have been using it for the past 10years now as part of my lean mass gaining phase, i tend to use this in combination with impact whey isolate to provide variation and have a faster releasing protein post workout, this protein also works great as a meal replacement i find when i add in some oats and peanut butter, unflavoured was ok and nice when mixed with some chocolate smooth instant oats and peanut or almond butter in the smooth version. Chocolate brownie is a great flavour though and is close to real brownies for taste, this whey protein mixes easily in water or milk and is nice to consume on a regular basis, choc brownie with some peanut butter makes for a great tasting protein shake that works great for adding in the calories required to support gains in lean muscle mass. I have also tried this whey in the vanilla and some limited edition flavours e.g. such as marzipan and both have been nice and make for a nice change from chocolate based flavours. Myprotein has set a standard that is difficult for other brands to meet. This supplement is great. I’ve been taking this supplement for a long time now and I’ve got to say it really has impressed me in many different ways, it has impacted my gains in a very positive way and ever since I started taking it, my gains had never blew up that quickly. if you found any value in this review then please use code: OLYMPIA - RF (no space in between dash and letters) and all in capital letters while registering yourself on this website to get up to 85% off order depending on current offers, thanks and i hope this was of benefit to you.
I've usually stuck to whey products in the past, but thought i'd go change things up by going for the Recovery XS this time. I went for chocolate smooth as chocolate orange has gone down well previously. All I can say is that the taste of the product was impressively bad. I'm surprised that with only 3.3g of creatine monohydrate per 100g (there's no way to make creatine taste like anything other than sand) that this could taste so bad. I did read reviews prior to purchase and anyone who thinks this tastes anything other than horrendous is delusional. I will buy Whey again, but i'm really disappointed with this product. There's no whey I'll get through 2.5kg. Goes Well With:Tried with milk, didn't work for me.
I use this after running for the recovery and to stop me craving carbs the next day. I used the chocolate flavour and it is just far too sweet and sickly. It mixes OK - I used water with the standard lid mess shaker not the ball. From a recovery point of view it works well but the flavour / taste is awful Re:Go has a much better taste / sweetness balance and I have returned to that now.Goes Well With:Recovery
Tastes good. However, doesn't seem to mix well and has a powdery note. I even used a blender with no improvement. Does seem like good value though and has the extras such as creatine. I can't help with effectiveness just yet.
After many recovery drinks I have found this to be very effective and supply your muscles with effective proteins and no cheap added bulking agents, works superblyGoes Well With:Impact Whey
This powder is very thick, wouldn't recommend mixing and then refrigerating for the next morning as it turns to ice cream at the bottom and needs remixing. Some people have said the taste is really bad. For me it isn't the greatest but its drinkable. I don't think its chalky it's just that the chocolate taste is way too overpowering, tastes like a really rich dark chocolate mouse but the only problem is you have 500ml to try and drink down! Seems to give my muscles some sort of recovery the day after, still get aches and pains but it definitely relieves them and has you training a bit sooner than you would. Goes Well With:400ml water 100ml milk to dilute the strong taste
Some of the reviews on here are daft. This is a really good product and does what it says on the tin. Defiantly helped with my recovery time and id recoment to anyone. Yes it's a little bitty but it's got a lot packed into it. If you want smooth then buy whey and take everything else in powder/ tablet. Very convenient shake and for me, does not taste bad at all!
This must be the worst tasting protein powder I have ever tried. It's texture is chalky and tastes incredibly sour! I dread every time I come to drink it. I won't be buying this one again for sure!
I only take this with water, but I find no matter how I mix it, mix ball, blender or hand shake there is still a very strong after taste of flour and dryness.
I do wish I was able to comment on how effective this product is however the taste of it is so disgusting I wasnt even able to fully drink it. It smells just lovely (I ordered strawberry flavour) but that's it... I mixed it with water, then I tried almond milk etc and nothing seems to work. The most disgusting thing I have ever tried, just wasted my money.
I can't comment on the impact on muscle mass or development at this stage but I've been taking it for a week and the main thing I've noticed is the way it fills you up. I feel my appetite is kept at bay not only throughout the morning but the rest of the day. It doesn't taste particularly pleasant compared to the impact protein but I found that the protein wasn't really filling me up (I have a big appetite). Whether I will see a difference in strength, I don't know right now.Goes Well With:Better with milk but this will slow down the absorption so best to take with water as I'm told.
Drinking this without throwing up is a skill in my opinion, but when I got used to it and struggled through it's well worth it. I feel great after using it, certainly improved recovery time, and meant I can lift and workout again much sooner. Will continue to buy but might try mixing up the flavours. I have it around half hour after a work out with creatine and water. Down in one if possible. Bought as part of the rugby bundle, but I use unflavoured creatine for obvious reasons.Goes Well With:Creatine, water
I used this for 4 weeks, three scoops 4-5 times per week. Workouts were strength oriented. From week 2 onwards I noticed a massive reduction in delayed onset muscle soreness, and by the end of the month I had virtually no pain the following days. I took no other protein supplements at the same time and still gained a significant amount of strength and size. This is great! I'd advise on giving the shake an extra long mix - it took around a minute to get rid of all the clumps. I used strawberry which tasted absolutely fine.Goes Well With:Ice cold water
A bit of an overstrong taste ,and I found it heavy on my stomach ,felt a bit off for a few hours after downing half a litre after a Hard training ride .
Good product really works but is disgusting
It is a good product, i have really felt the benefits the day after a really hard training session. The only down side is the taste, it is a little chalky which leaves a bit of a funny taste on the tongue. But overall I would recommend this as a good recovery shake.
Excellent stuff, I use this after cycling, don't suffer from fatigue next day and ready to go againGoes Well With:Water
Delivery time from ordering was spot on really quick taste is really synthetic other than that it does what it says on the tin
So far very happy, did one misteake ordered strawberry flavour which I am not the best fan but still doesn't change the fact that after mixing it is actually a very drinkable shake. Overall so far I am happy with the product and definitielly will continue but with vanilla flavour next time. Goes Well With:Hershey liquid chocolate, adding one spoon and taste amazing!
