What is Inulin?
Inulin is a starchy carbohydrate found in pulses, predominantly lentils and chickpeas.
How can Inulin be used?
Inulin is also used in baking to preserve the moisture in cakes and biscuits, but also as a binding agent. Inulin can also be used as a syrup, by mixing it with water and heating. Finally, this versatile fibre can be used in smoothies to make them thicker and more satiating.

Looked for Inulin after seeing Michael Moselys programme, Mixes fine in hot drinks, each scoop and a half is 5gms i would start with that and slowly increase dosage after seeing how you go...causes flatulence soon after but doesnt last long maybe an hour or so. What i did notice almost instantly though is it certainly kills hunger pangs and for me it has made my huge craving for sweets vanish, i am used to scoffing biscuits and sweets as i got sweet sugar cravings a lot even after having a main meal, i have noticed that these cravings have almost completely gone since using Inulin. I put this down to it stabilising my blood sugars, i am also hoping my migraines decrease as my sweet tooth often led to Migraines. So far so good i take it once a day with a morning coffee or tea.Goes Well With:Coffee and Tea
I dissolve this in my herbal tea.....disappears in 20 seconds. Does dissolving this powder in hot liquid reduce its effect?Goes Well With:Herbal tea
I've tried mixing this the best I can but it genuinely solidifies when adding it to water. Always a clump at the bottom.
Happy with the product - I have lost fat around my tummy area and legs, without being on a diet. I do not get hungry so it helps that way too.
I have been taking Inulin now for around 4 months. I initially took it to boost my immune system as was getting lots of colds. Something much more spectacular has happened. For 17 years I have been suffering with Hirsutism, a condition where I grow facial hair. I have tried laser treatment, electrolysis etc to no avail. After taking Inulin, my condition has disappeared. As too has my periodontal gum disease. I was completely unaware that I was suffering from Dysbiosis which is an imbalance of good and bad bacteria in the gut. It was affecting my hormones and the bacteria in my mouth. I would really recommend taking this daily for overall heath benefits. I mix it with water and a dissolvable vitamin tablet.Goes Well With:Water
This product is really good for mixing in smoothies and shakes I am a returning customer.Goes Well With:Smoothies and shakes
Been taking 10 days and believe it is making me (everyday) regular! Started mixing into my black coffee find it easier to mix into heat.Goes Well With:Coffee
This powder solidifies when added to liquid do its impossible to mix. I've tried blending it dry with protein before adding milk or water and mixing in a nutribullet but it's always left in a sticky clump of my shaker
Product arrived in good time from ordering. The content is as it says on the packet. I use it everyday and the quality in terms of texture and usability is very good. This is a repeat order. That says it all.Goes Well With:My morning nutritional vegetable and fruit smoothie.
Having watched the programme on the benefits of inulin, I researched some more and thought i'd give it a try. I have been suffering from bowel pains due to operation scarring inside and permanently bloated stomach for over 12 years. I started taking 1 level scoop of inulin mixed with one heaped dessert spoon of milled flaxseed in water once a day and I bought a bottle of Pepto Bismal and drank a measurement of that in a morning and evening for 2 weeks ( needed to buy another bottle! ) I just had the inulin and flaxseed after that. At first I had a lot of wind and bowel movements but I persevered and within about 2 months my stomach is flat at long last, I am finally pain free and my waist as shrank significantly. I have been taking this for about 6 months now, though only have one scoop of inulin every other day and I feel so much better. I am aware that some trials say they don't know the long term affects but I do not take any medication, am pain free, slim and very active and feel I have finally got quality of life back instead of constant discomfort, plus I am told often that I look well. I would advise anyone to research then do what feels best for you. The recommended dose is one and a half scoops, the scoop is hidden inside the pouch, I found mine when I was halfway through the first pouch! I just chose to take one scoop.

It does wot it sez on the packet - I think!
Like a lot of people I started taking this after Angela Rippon's TV programme which talked about the benefits of taking inulin. When I first started taking it I didn't have a 'base line' to compare its effectiveness but I started taking this product a few months ago. I have since had my visceral body fat measured and will use this as a base line (I had no idea unfortunately if it had had an effect up to that point); in a year I will be able to compare when I next have my test. However, having said that - it can only be doing me good and reading other reviews I am going to continue taking it. I actually like mine stirred into yoghurt which isn't to everyone's taste and it can get a bit lumpy but to me the lumps even taste good! I know it's doing me good - you can't see what's going on inside you so in a year's time it will be interesting to see whether my visceral fat percentage has lowered! Meanwhile, great product and I shall persevere!Goes Well With:Yoghurt (if stirred really well) Water It's pretty tasteless so I guess you can put it with anything
