It is also found naturally in dairy products, eggs, soy and vegetable proteins but none of these compares in quality to whey protein powder. It also scores highly in providing the branched chain amino acids that are important in the building and retention of muscle.Whey protein is highly favored by bodybuilders because it provides the necessary building blocks to produce the amino acids that the body uses to build lean muscle tissue. Many studies have shown that whey protein contains the perfect combination of amino acids, in just the right concentration for optimal performance in the body. It is also thought that whey protein has a role as an anti-oxidant and immune system builder. It is best taken in powder form mixed in juice or milk, spread throughout the day to maintain a positive nitrogen balance. Serious bodybuilders often consume up to one hundred fifty grams each day but as a rule of thumb, daily protein intake for active trainers can be calculated by taking your weight in pounds and multiplying by one or two. But remember, you need to work out how much protein is taken from food and other sources, and then spread the remaining whey protein balance over the day.Whey protein is a relatively safe supplement but no more than thirty grams of protein should be taken at one sitting as excessive single doses could overload the liver. The safety of whey protein has been well documented in many scientific studies and there is clear proof that taken consistently, coupled with regular exercise, it will result in meaningful muscle gain.
I like to eat pasta on a regular basis in the off season to get in some fast acting muscle building carbs, this version is great as it is higher in protein and i feel a better option to still be able to enjoy pasta when i normally limit it in body fat reduction phases, i actually prefer this version over the ordinary pasta and feel it tastes slightly nicer and is of higher quality. forty percent protein is quite high for a pasta based product and this works well when combined with a lean meat based protein source to provide a filling protein dense muscle building meal. It is also lower in carbs vs ordinary white and whole wheat versions which is another great reason to use this when dieting, this and the DR Zak's high protein bread and bagels are all great additions and replacements to the regular versions which allow for us to still have great foods when dieting down and reducing fat levels. if you found any value in this review then please use code: GEOFF - RDT (no space in between dash and letters) and all in capital letters at checkout to get up to 85% off order depending on current offers, thanks and i hope this was of benefit to you :).Goes Well With:Meals
Tastes horrible, obviously for a protein product taste isnt the most important thing but honestly it's just nasty. Doesn't really go well with any sauce either. Goes Well With:Nothing
This pasta is great! It has a bit of a different texture but this doesn't put me off, in fact I think I prefer it. It's got a bit more of a fibre texture to it. Great protein level, fab way to incorporate more as I am a pasta lover!
Whilst it is vegetarian. And in notes say's ingredients are vegan but cannot guarantee 100% vegan due to prep conditions etc... One out of the three ingredients is fresh egg. Vegetarians who eat eggs can have this product, but vegans who eat no animal product (including eggs, milk and honey) can't.
Low carb high protein, filling what more do you want without the guilt of standard pasta.
Great protein pasta. Tastes awesome and you can cook like traditional pasta but with the advantage to have 50gr of protein per 100gr (raw) contrary to 12gr. Love it! Perfect with tomato sauce, cheese, soy cream, curry.... I will definitely buy it again! I highly recommend it.Goes Well With:Tomato sauce, soy cream, cheese, cottage cheese, curry sauce ...
Absolutely brilliant for filling you up when on a moderately low carb diet. FInally satisfied my huge craving for a big bowl of pasta without the guilt and knowing that I can easily hit my protein goals, with it being 50% protein. Tastes good too but I'm not fussy anyway.Goes Well With:Bolognese sauce
It tastes like raw fish the taste is horrible Goes Well With:The bin
Great taste, great macros for cuttingGoes Well With:Tuna, chicken, beef
Amazing product! So scrumptious and can mix with so many dishes and flavours to give it a little something extra! Taste amazing, would eat it cooked dry it taste so good on its own even! 😝👍🏼💪🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Seems like i'm one of the only people who doesn't like the taste of this stuff! The idea of this is great if you're willing to eat it/like the taste.
Really nice great tuna pasta salad , will buy again
I love this pasta, it never makes me feel bloated or frumpy afterwards. It's a great alternative but tastes a little weird a first but you get used to it. I love it!Goes Well With:Tinned tomatoes & cheese
I didn't expect much from this to be honest. I love 'normal' pasta but no longer eat it because of the nutritional content, so why not give this a go. I was actually pleasantly surprised. It cooks in the same way and time as regular pasta, looks similar (like wholewheat), and has a similar texture. It's lovely with a pasta sauce, chicken, veg, just whatever you'd have regular pasta with. Will buy again and will recommend.Goes Well With:Sauces, veg, chicken. Just like regular pasta.
This was a fantastic addition to so many dishes! I normally use sweet potato as an alternative to carbs like pasta, noodles or potatoes; this has eliminated the need and given a delicious alternative for a post work out meal. Goes Well With:Sauce, casserole.
This product is good all around. It's filling, and also quite tasty. The only criticism Id have is that it can be a little bit bland on its own. It's flavours aren't very deep and on its own you can definitely tell it's not normal pasta. However add a sauce and you'd never know! Goes Well With:Tuna
This pasta was lovely considering the protein content. I've always felt guilty for eating pasta and its one of my worst carb cravings so this is a life saver. You really need sauce or something like that with it though as the plain taste is not as good as real pasta (obviously isn't going to be). Would definitely recommend this product and its good value for money too (I got 25% off).Goes Well With:Turkey mince, chopped tomatoes, onions and loads of veggies!
My first ever product from myprotein and I couldn't be happier. This pasta fills me up, is versatile as I can cook it with anything, and is high in protein so I can have it as a quick, high protein meal after training with some meat and sauce.Goes Well With:Bolognaise sauce and chicken or steak
I just wanted to ask if its 50g of protein per serving of cooked or raw pasta .
