Poor, very thick when mixed and basically impossible to drink. Like a thick syrup.
Used this as an alternative to dairy in my diet and was dubious at first but it mixes well and has no after taste like some other brands
I purchased this protein powder for when I go to the gym. I find it isnt very easy to mix in with porridge, it makes the porridge quite dry and thick. Its good to mix with water for a post-gym workout or just to increase your protein intake for the day. I wouldn’t recommend mixing with milk as it thickens quite quickly, water is best for a protein shake. Generally quite nice taste, better than plain flavour. Good product and would recommend to anyone who wants a soy alternative :) Goes Well With:Water and mixed into porridge
So after reading the reviews I was dubious to whether I was going to like this... I ordered unflavoured to add to a breakfast shake of different ingredients - peanut butter, almond milk, cocoa powder and greek yoghurt. It mixed perfectly (blender) and was a lovely light milkshake consistency. Would definitely buy again but in chocolate flavour. Goes Well With:Anything to add flavour.
Effective, does what it says. Mixes quite well although can get a bit frothy just using a shaker - I prefer to use a blender. But all in all it goes well in just about any type of food/drinkGoes Well With:Water, milk, oats(porridge), smoothie
I’ve only tried the strawberry cream flavour and I mix with plant milk, ice and frozen strawberries and whizz it in the blender. It mixes well and has a good flavour and is like a smoothie. It is thicker than normal whey and a blender probably is a must with a little bit of extra fluid. I’ve been using it for a couple of years now and no complaints and if you are dairy free then I’d recommend as has a good protein content. Goes Well With:Frozen fruit
This product does promise everything a protein shake should. It tastes good and it has a high protein content. The only downside, which is annoying when washing out shakers and even when consuming the drink is the consistency. It is very thick and requires a lot of water to mix it with, and sticks to the shaker somewhat. I will definitely buy again but the product could definitely be improved!
I accidentally bought unflavoured and it was an absolutely disgusting taste and texture, really thick and almost undrinkable even after adding more water. I have not tried flavoured however i can't imagine it will be much better.
I have so far used my blender to mix this. I bought the non flavoured one as I was not keen on the sweetners used in the others. I have used it to mix with fruit and water and almond milk and banana smoothies. It is great, you can't really taste the Soy as you can in other protein shakes I have used before. I use this after my 10k runs and swims. So far so good. I am new to protein shakes so can't really say if it's made a difference with regards to increasing my weight.
This tastes revolting. It is grainy and makes me gag, even the tiniest spoonful is enough to ruin whatever you put it in. Tried to make a shake with banana, cocoa powder and the chocolate smooth version of this and hated it! Even my brother who likes everything had to wash his mouth out. So now I have a massive push of unwanted protein powder. Save your money!Goes Well With:The bin
I got this in a couple of flavours to try because I'm a bit sensitive to dairy and since I had to increase the amount of whey I consumed each day my stomach hasn't approved. I think I'm just so used to the whey protein that this doesn't do it for me. Cons: It is a lot thicker than whey (to compare: when mixed with water soy is the consistency of runny yoghurt - like the muller corner ones that aren't actually real yoghurt, whereas the whey is like single cream) and doesn't taste as good. I got the chocolate smooth and matcha flavours. Pros: But on the other hand nutritionally as a non dairy protein it is very comparable, I think it's actually lower in carbs and sugar than the whey which if you've used it before that's one of the reasons everyone raves about my protein. And it's also higher in protein per serving by a gram or two I think. Goes Well With:Water?
sadly I have to close my nose to be able to swallow, it tastes like a medicine
I purchased this as I'm trying to consume less dairy products. In comparison to the Impact Whey Protein of the same flavour (Strawberry cream) this stuff is awful.... does not mix at all well with water or almond milk. It's like cement. It's so clumpy and it looks like plaster! I will not be consuming any more of this product after just 2 servings. VILE!Goes Well With:The bin
(chocolate flavour) I bought this after using whey for a couple of years, and after enjoying chocolate flavour I thought the soy flavour would taste the same. Boy was I wrong. You cant really taste chocolate, It just tastes starchy and is really un-enjoyable. If you buy this expect to down quickly to get through it. Can't believe I bought 4kg of this stuff.. no going back now I guess. Goes Well With:tears
Great product for anyone who doesn’t eat dairy. Goes Well With:Banana. Soy milk and peanut butter.
So I've been buying myprotein for the last two years, and I can confidently say it's done it's job. That was until this month. I thought I'd change things up a little and buy this vegan powder. Holy moly! The powder looks like plaster and when you mix it with a liquid it still looks like plaster. A bonus is it also tastes like freshly mixed plaster. Honestly the most disgusting shake ever made and I've tried maximuscles strawberry one. Only good thing is the price, but I'd rather spend twice as much for a tastier one where the flavour "smooth chocolate" is both smooth in texture and tastes like chocolate. Goes Well With:Other hobbies such as being extremely disappointed by your go to protein manufacturer.
I bought a 1KG bag of the chocolate flavour to try a non-whey protein powder and I have to admit I'm not impressed. I usually mix my powder into my porridge in the mornings but this makes it all clumpy and almost like a cake mix, not nice. The flavour is nice, gives you your extra protein. I have't tried it in a shake or smoothie form yet but going to have to change it up to finish the bag off. Sadly, don't think I will purchase this again.
I honestly don’t know what people are talking about when they say it doesn’t mix well?! Give it a good shake! Not a weak half hearted shake haha. I’ve never tried whey protein but as far as vegan proteins go this one is a godsend. Strawberry cream flavour is the only flavoured once I’ve tried so far and it’s like a milkshake! It’s not grainy like the pea protein and vegan blend I’ve found the best way to mix this to stop is sticking to the sides and bottom (like any protein powder) is to put some liquid in first, then protein, then more liquid. Leave some space at the top and shake it good.Goes Well With:Goes brilliantly in smoothies, by itself and if you wanna step it up a notch add some flavdrops in there (white choc)
I agree with the reviews that said it’s really thick and doesn’t mix well - that’s absolutely true. However, I don’t really mind the mousse-like texture, I use it instead of yogurt or just eat it for dessert because the flavour (vanilla) is amazing! Best tasting vegan protein powder I’ve ever tried (for me personally it tastes way better than the Missfits powders, however Missfits powders do have better ingredients). I also find it mixes way easier if I use half a scoop.Goes Well With:Frozen berries, almond milk.
So I’ve recently become vegan & changed to this product from whey. The first time I made it, I made it as I would the whey and it did literally turn into cement, so I added more water until it was drinkable - I bought vanilla but at the same time bought some flavour drops which worked well! Yes it’s different to whey but it’s not horrible and you get a much bigger filling drink. I will be buying more
