Love this product!

Have used this soy protein product for years and now it is vegan even better. My preferred flavours are strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. I use it as a breakfast shake and even to bake with or make pancakes. Highly recommend and always buy when on an offer for myself and my mum!

Great product

Taste is pretty good (vanilla is the best flavour), although if left too long it leaves a pretty nasty smell. Mixes into a slightly thick shake (I normally mix mine only in water) but I like the thickness as it is quite filling. I would highly recommend!

Ripping us off

Every time i gp to buy spy protein the proce has gone up. And you even made the unflavoured the same price as the flavoured now just to rip us off more. I'll be using bulk powders from now on

Vanilla and Matcha Flavours

I have tried both the vanilla and matcha protein powders. By themselves, just mixed with plant milk and water, they have quite distinctive flavours but both are still drinkable and not sickly sweet. The powders mix well enough with fluids and you will not end up with a gritty shake. For a better tasting drink I recommend mixing the vanilla and matcha powders.
Goes Well With:
For a protein shake: 1/3 vanilla powder and 2/3 matcha powder mixed with 200 ml unsweetened almond milk and 200 ml water. For a protein smoothie: 1/3 vanilla and 2/3 matcha mixed with 200 ml of unsweetened almond milk, 150 ml water, 1 frozen banana and ice cubes.

Gloopy

I tried to be good and go vegan when it comes to protein shakes. To my disappointment when mixed with water and even milk the product went very gloopy and was disgusting to drink. It even didn't taste nice. Shame really !

My favourite

This is my absolute favourite. So tasty, I prefer it to whey. Mixed well, more like a smoothie which I prefer and fab flavours to choose from.

Well Yummy!!!

Having gone vegan and going back into training l wanted some protein. I have been with My Protein for a number of years now and wondered if they did anything vegan. Oh yes!!! Well chuffed. This powder is lovely. No flavour so you can mix with anything. I have used it in a blender with some fruit, and mixed it in with porridge. No lumps at all. The only very small gripe is that the free gift wasn't the My Vegan shaker which l wanted but no worries (just me being a pain). Thanks so much for making a yummy product, l will be back.

Unflavoured - Good in a blender.

I am doing veganuary so I switched from Whey to Soy protein. I usually put protein in my overnight oats (made with water) but this didn't work with Soy Isolate. Too thick and didn't mix well. However, it works well in a smoothie - I did mine with banana, spinach, peanut butter and water - it was very tasty. Make sure you blend thoroughly though. Taste is grand if you mix with other stuff, not overpowering at all.

Smoothies - banana, spinach, peanut butter and water.

Blended

Some tips for people who are thinking of buying/already purchased. Make sure to put the power in last after other ingredients if blending, mixes much better. The gritty texture people are complaining about can easily be reduced to adding a handful of rolled (porridge) oats. The weight actually comes to an average of 30g-36g per serving if powder is scooped and compacted against the side of the bag, instead of the 1/4 cup extra.
Goes Well With:
In the mornings I use a whole banana, a big handful of blueberries, two teaspoons of peanut butter and a handful of oats, and roughly 250/350 ml of water. Makes a nice and creamy shake, with very little 'grit'. Plus the blueberries are high in antioxidants to help muscle recovery. In the evenings I'll do blueberries, and a serving of frozen fruit mix (saves money and lasts for way longer than fresh fruit) with water.

Excellent

Moved to soy after whey caused bloating. This mixes very easily with water, whisked with a fork in a bowl or mug, or shaken in a bottle, to an inoffensive, neutral flavour. Easy to consume, and easy on the stomach. Seems not to clash with anything mixed with it.
