sadly I have to close my nose to be able to swallow, it tastes like a medicine
I purchased this as I'm trying to consume less dairy products. In comparison to the Impact Whey Protein of the same flavour (Strawberry cream) this stuff is awful.... does not mix at all well with water or almond milk. It's like cement. It's so clumpy and it looks like plaster! I will not be consuming any more of this product after just 2 servings. VILE!Goes Well With:The bin
(chocolate flavour) I bought this after using whey for a couple of years, and after enjoying chocolate flavour I thought the soy flavour would taste the same. Boy was I wrong. You cant really taste chocolate, It just tastes starchy and is really un-enjoyable. If you buy this expect to down quickly to get through it. Can't believe I bought 4kg of this stuff.. no going back now I guess. Goes Well With:tears
Great product for anyone who doesn’t eat dairy. Goes Well With:Banana. Soy milk and peanut butter.
Overall this soy isolate based protein powder is not too bad in the chocolate flavour which is much nicer than using it unflavoured, i like to mix up proteins sources from time to time and this works well as a replacement for whey and casein or used in addition to provide different amino acid ratios, i feel to overcome sticking points in progression in adding muscle mass it is important to mix up diet as well as training, i like the fact that this mixes to form quite thick and dense shakes which makes them more filling when used during fat loss / cutting phases. if you found any value in this review then please use code: GEOFF - RDT (no space in between dash and letters) and all in capital letters at checkout to get up to 85% off order depending on current offers, thanks and i hope this was of benefit to you :). My Protein whey is a good quality whey concentrate, i have been using it for the past few weeks now as part of my lean mass gaining phase, i tend to use this in combination with impact whey isolate to provide variation and have a faster releasing protein post workout, this protein also works great as a meal replacement i find when i add in some oats and peanut butter, unflavoured was ok and nice when mixed with some chocolate smooth instant oats and peanut or almond butter in the smooth version. Chocolate brownie is a great flavour though and is close to real brownies for taste, this whey protein mixes easily in water or milk and is nice to consume on a regular basis, choc brownie with some peanut butter makes for a great tasting protein shake that works great for adding in the calories required to support gains in lean muscle mass. I have also tried this whey in the vanilla and some limited edition flavours e.g. such as marzipan and both have been nice and make for a nice change from chocolate based flavours. if you found any value in this review then please use code: MOHIT - R4P (no space in between dash and letters) and all in capital letters at checkout to get up to 85% off order depending on current offers, thanks and i hope this was of benefit to you :).
So I've been buying myprotein for the last two years, and I can confidently say it's done it's job. That was until this month. I thought I'd change things up a little and buy this vegan powder. Holy moly! The powder looks like plaster and when you mix it with a liquid it still looks like plaster. A bonus is it also tastes like freshly mixed plaster. Honestly the most disgusting shake ever made and I've tried maximuscles strawberry one. Only good thing is the price, but I'd rather spend twice as much for a tastier one where the flavour "smooth chocolate" is both smooth in texture and tastes like chocolate. Goes Well With:Other hobbies such as being extremely disappointed by your go to protein manufacturer.
I bought a 1KG bag of the chocolate flavour to try a non-whey protein powder and I have to admit I'm not impressed. I usually mix my powder into my porridge in the mornings but this makes it all clumpy and almost like a cake mix, not nice. The flavour is nice, gives you your extra protein. I have't tried it in a shake or smoothie form yet but going to have to change it up to finish the bag off. Sadly, don't think I will purchase this again.
I honestly don’t know what people are talking about when they say it doesn’t mix well?! Give it a good shake! Not a weak half hearted shake haha. I’ve never tried whey protein but as far as vegan proteins go this one is a godsend. Strawberry cream flavour is the only flavoured once I’ve tried so far and it’s like a milkshake! It’s not grainy like the pea protein and vegan blend I’ve found the best way to mix this to stop is sticking to the sides and bottom (like any protein powder) is to put some liquid in first, then protein, then more liquid. Leave some space at the top and shake it good.Goes Well With:Goes brilliantly in smoothies, by itself and if you wanna step it up a notch add some flavdrops in there (white choc)
I agree with the reviews that said it’s really thick and doesn’t mix well - that’s absolutely true. However, I don’t really mind the mousse-like texture, I use it instead of yogurt or just eat it for dessert because the flavour (vanilla) is amazing! Best tasting vegan protein powder I’ve ever tried (for me personally it tastes way better than the Missfits powders, however Missfits powders do have better ingredients). I also find it mixes way easier if I use half a scoop.Goes Well With:Frozen berries, almond milk.
So I’ve recently become vegan & changed to this product from whey. The first time I made it, I made it as I would the whey and it did literally turn into cement, so I added more water until it was drinkable - I bought vanilla but at the same time bought some flavour drops which worked well! Yes it’s different to whey but it’s not horrible and you get a much bigger filling drink. I will be buying more
This is absolutely vile and doesn't mix with anything. When mixed and left to sit for a minute it all clumps up at the bottom. The only way I can just about bare to eat it is by mixing it with pineapple juice but even then it's like eating a glass of water full of sand. Goes Well With:Nothing but edible with pineapple juice
I read a few reviews before making my purchase, unfortunately not enough, I thought I would be able to drink this product, not so. Once mixed, it resembles a quite thick custard, so, I treat it as a yogurt , quite palatable with a little honey, and fine for home consumption, but definitely not on the go.
Using a blender, the soy protein is great - really tasty, but otherwise, it is impossible to mix and remains in big clumps.Goes Well With:Iced coffee
This is easily the worst protein powder I have ever bought. I am lactose intolerant so can't eat whey products. I ordered this thinking it would be like the previous product I ordered ( Vegan Active woman's blend) which was good. This is awful and I want to return it and have a replacement. It won't mix, is glutinous, sets like concrete, tastes disgusting and smells foul. Can't believe you can actually sell this.Goes Well With:Wallpaper
Easily the worst tasting shake I've ever had my entire life, don't even attempt to get it, even just to try! your just wasting your money, I've literally had one shake out of a kilo bag and its getting thrown in the bin. worst money I've ever spent.Goes Well With:a bin bag
First thing is this doesn’t taste like chocolate at all but just of pure soy, which isn’t awful but also not great. When you mix with water it forms a thick paste but then you add more and it just becomes to thin and watery. The macros are really great though so I use it a lot for mixing with other stuff (eg protein brownies) and it has a really smooth consistency which is great as vegan powders are usually grainy. If you can get past the taste then it’s fine, super cheap and gets the job done.Goes Well With:Ground almonds and coco powder (mix w water and it tastes like crumbled cake)
AVOID AVOID AVOID. Bought this to try as a replacement for Whey but it is absolutely awful. It barely mixes at all but when it does it just turns into a cement that won't even pour out of the shaker. The taste is gag inducing and I've tried a lot of the flavours MyProtein have invented over the years. I can't comment on how effective it is as I've only managed to stomach it twice after a workout in a month and I train 4 times a week. Don't waste your money if you're thinking about trying this, stick to what you know like I should have done!Goes Well With:sand to make cement.
Nice taste, provides everything you would want from a protein powder.
I really enjoy the taste of strawberry cream protein powder, just by adding some water it tastes like strawberry pudding! So creamy and soft! I purchased the unflavored soy isolate too, very good for making protein pancakes and smoothies. I will definitely repurchase after I finish them.Goes Well With:Water, plant-based milk, Oatmeal, smoothies, pancakes...
