I had the chocolate flavor and I have to say it is no chocolate fudge cake however, these mug cakes have definitely got me though cutting. A great macro friendly sweet treat!Goes Well With:Peanut butter or a square of dark chocolate in the middle!
A bit disappointing. The taste is okay but when I have it, it either comes out over cooked and like a cleaning sponge or it comes out undercoooked like with a sludge like consistency.
As a cake it's not the best, looks like a brown sponge and tastes like a brown sponge, BUT just pop it in your shaker like you would normal protein powder, mix it with milk and it tastes great, so even if you don't like the cake, you can have an alright protein shake. Goes Well With:Milk - in protein shake form
Brown chemically sweetened egg, so bad inedible. This is not cake like at all and yes I did measure mix and water. Goes Well With:Nothing
I have tried other versions of mug cake mixes from elsewhere in the past, but this version in the salted caramel is sublime, it is the best and beats all of the rest for texture and flavour profile. it mixes perfectly when cooked as per instructions provided and makes a great meal replacement / protein based snack any time of the day and works well to cure and sweet tooth cravings. Was a bit sceptical about this purchase after reading the reviews but am pleasantly surprised! Really nice texture, good taste, perfect for that naughty treat while getting an extra boost of protein. Only thing I would say, is the packet didn't actually have instructions on how to make it on it...not sure what happened there but after a quick search on the website here, found a recipe. I picked the chocolate flavour and made it with milk, not water, and was very nice indeed. Goes Well With:Fruit syrup.
Had high hopes for this product as I'm a chocoholic. Followed the instructions and put it in the microwave for 50 seconds, came out like an old sponge. Tasted okay but a bit dry. Was much better when I added some sugar free syrup! Overall was edable, doubtful that I would order the product again though. Goes Well With:Sugar free syrup
I couldn't eat this, I could taste sweeteners and all the protein was clumped to one place, it was so hard to chew this down, I didn't even place it in the microwave for long. I'm really sorry but it's a no for me Goes Well With:Water
This is the 1st time I am leaving a review because I just had my 1st Myprotein mug cake, and it was yummy! I wasn't expecting anything great, but that definitely satisfied my sweet tooth! I saw some really bad reviews and got worried but I think that the key is how long you cook those for. Like real mug cakes, if they cook for too long, they are too dry to eat. My suggestion is to cook for 20-25 seconds at first, check the texture, and then repeat this 5 seconds at a time until it is cooked to your liking and goo-ey enough. In my microwave, I found that the perfect time was somewhere between 35-40 seconds. The perfect combination of cooked but still goo-ey! And if you add some sugar-free syrup, oh my!!
Wow. That doesn't even cover it. You really can have your cake and eat it without putting on 100lb! Okay, it's not a moreish slice of iced chocolate fudge cake, but it is a very moreish cake in a mug with amazing nutritional values. Tried all 3 flavors and all are a huge hit. Chocolate is lovely and chocolatey, blueberry cheesecake is nice and sweet and caramel is gorgeous too. They mix well, but sometimes come out either a little rubbery, or don't rise, even with instructions followed, but I personally love mine a bit soft and gooey so perfect when underdone slightly or put with a teeny tiny bit more water. Really filling and super tasty! Only downside is... More falvors please! These are a Godsend! :) xGoes Well With:My mouth and a spoon
Okay it doesn't give you a mug cake, it resembles warmed up cake mixture but it is sweet and tastes OK but obviously not as good as the real thing. I have the chocolate one. I will finish this pack but wouldn't buy againGoes Well With:Milk
I've made a few mug cakes and had different problems with recipes so decided to give this a try(I went for chocolate). I mixed 70ml semi skimmed milk, 1 scoop powder, Teaspoon mix of trivia and zero butterscotch syrup, half a tablespoon of peanut butter and mixed. Then added other half tablespoon peanut butter for a core. Cooked for 1 minute checking a few times and i found it to be quite enjoyable. I have a shocking sweet tooth and this is my go to when I get an evening craving. If you've got the calories available just add a bit of cream after and it is spot on! Goes Well With:Berries, peanut butter,
I deciding to buy lots of ready to make treats for me when I was dieting for my show and these were a life saver. Cravings were wild and there just made my day and gave me something to look forward too. My favourite was the salted caramel and chocolate Goes Well With:Everything
Great product and easy to make. Macros are decent too. Salted caramel flavour was a bit bland, so I added a teaspoon of sugar to the mix. The chocolate was by far the best. Blueberry cheesecake tasted very chemically and wasn't pleasant. Would have received 5 stars if not for the flavours. Goes Well With:A cup of Tea or Coffee
Made me gag. Looks nice though Goes Well With:Not sure
Absolutely bl**dy awful stuff. NO instructions on packet, but not the end of the word as the instructions are on this website. Followed them to a 'T' and ended up with something that was nothing like cake. Made no difference whether I used water, milk or a combination of the two. Even tried using a bit of butter in the mixture and just the same! Virtually no taste and was akin to eating a sponge. Really, really disappointed. Goes Well With:Washing-up liquid...
Excellent product. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to increase protein intake or to someone who enjoys a dessert. Add a piece of dark chocolate just before cooking and you get a melted chocolate middle. Also goes well with powered peanut butter. Goes Well With:Dark chocolate or peanut butter
Horrendous. The reviews must be fake. Inedible :(
Tastes like white industrial powder that shouldn't be edible. Just terrible!!!
Absolutely hurrendous: tastes and looks nothing like a cake. Had one serving and won't be having another.Goes Well With:Nothing
