I am 55 yrs old and have got back to the gym after a long time away, I have been seriously training for a few years now and thought I could now give an honest review on their performance not taste. Since using HMB I have noticed a big difference in the weights I can now lift, I can normally add to my general routines and am putting my younger gym users to shame. I am packing on some serious muscle and I am in better shape now than when I was 30. Years ago when HMB was first availible its use created a great animal effect. But now, the only animal it turns me into is an injured dog (not any old dog - a council estate dog). Im not sure why, but guessing the huge size of the tablets may be wreaking a path of destruction on my digestive tract. So, be sure I'll try the powder, and I'll let you know how we get along. This is a good supplement to take if your looking to make extra gains in the gym. I've been taking this around 3 months and i definitely say I've made strength improvements since being on it. The tablets themselves don't have any taste and are easy to swallow even first thing in the morning. Hit a sort of plateau with both my weight training and cardio hill running sessions just making small or no increases in strength/stamina as the months rolled by. Decided to give H.M.B a try after reading about its effects. So this is a rundown of my experience after taking the advised one gram tablet three times per day. Week 1- Strength gains of about 2kg added to all major lifts. Week 2- Still strength gains and seemed to have less post muscle ache. Week 3- Still strength gains the best 10kg added to my 'T' bar row. Improvements in my cardio runs as well with increased power and energy. Week 4- Still strength gains and noted that my rest time between sets had decreased allowing me to complete the session in forty five minutes instead of one hour. Week 5- Still strength gains. Flying up the hills with the cardio. Defiantly less D.O.M.S and now visible changes in the mirror with small increase in muscle size to the shoulders, upper chest and triceps. Seem a bit leaner/sharper all over. Into week six now and still gaining on what is my normal maintaining diet for the summer unbelievable! It works perfectly fine you just have to give it some time about 2 weeks. I weigh 75 kilos and I take 3 tablets a day.
