What are Organic Raw Cacao Nibs?
The Cacao Bean is the dried and fully fermented seed of the Theobroma Cacao tree from which cocoa solids and cocoa butter are extracted.
The raw beans are selected for the finest quality and fermented to reduce their initial bitterness. After cleaning the dried beans in natural water, they are peeled and their core extracted to be broken into “nibs”. The production process employed helps to preserve the nutritional value of the cacao without using additives. Peruvian Cacao Nibs are certified organic by the Soil Association under the code GB-ORG-05.

The latest hype are these smoothie bowls but they are a handy 'on-the-go' breakfast. I bought the cacao nibs to sprinkle on top and they add a lovely change in flavour and texture. I would never suggest to swap these for chocolate chips but they are a good alternative. Goes Well With:Frozen banana, water, Impact Diet Whey (chocolate or cookies and cream), peanut butter - all blended together.
They're as good as any and a good price. If you like super dark, bitter chocolate these are it's super food side kick. I tend to eat these in porridge or skyr on weekends for breakfast. Tend to find they give me a good lift of energy and mood, which unlike caffeine does not quickly wear off. Haven't baked with them yet but they'd be great in banana bread I think.Goes Well With:Porridge, yoghurt, baking.
I got these for making treats with but I'm finding them a bit touch and some of the pieces are sharp as well. Will keep persevering with them and try mixing with different things. Goes Well With:baking
I have had these a couple of times. I’ve tried them in hot chocolate but they don’t melt. The work well in banana muffins as they add a bit of texture Good value as they are more expensive elsewhere. .
I like to add this to my protein shake, gives it a nice natural chocolate flavor.
These taste lovely, however, I'm now worried to eat them due to shell, my teeth can't cope with the crunch! A shame as they would be a great additive.
Inedible bits of shell mixed in, impossible to spot and very annoying
Thought I would give this a go to add flavour to my meals. I tried it raw, not nice. So thought it may be nicer in a meal heated up. That wasn't the case, I couldn't finish one of my favourite meals. I was expecting a nice chocolate taste but it was very bitter and half of it are just shells which are quite hard. Wouldn't recommend.
