Hemp Protein is an excellent source of protein derived from whole raw hemp seed, providing 15g of protein per serving which will contribute to a growth and maintenance in muscle mass.

Hemp Protein is perfect to consume either before or after exercise as a source of protein or at any time throughout the day to increase daily protein intake. Hemp Protein is also an excellent source of protein for vegetarians, vegans or for anyone that suffers with a  gluten intolerance.

The dietary choices of all our customers are extremely important to us. Suggested Use

We recommend adding 1 large scoop (30g) to 150-250ml of water or milk in a Myprotein shaker 30 minutes before and/or after your workout. Alternatively consume any time of day to increase your daily protein intake.

Wanted to have a change from whey protein and something without added sugars. Opening the pouch the powder is an interesting green/grey colour. It smells earthy. It mixes pretty well with water and has a definite earthy nutty flavour. However it is quite gritty and sticks to the inside of your mouth, so you need a glass of water to help wash it down. Doesn't taste bad but it is definitely an acquired taste. Works well in a green smoothie with spinach, avocado, apple and coconut water. Might not be my everyday choice but worth a try if you struggle with whey.

Decided to remove as much dairy as possible from my diet and read some great reviews on benefits of Hemp protein. I dove right in and bought 2 x 2.5 kg bags. I read the reviews and people mentioned the taste as being bad but ok when mixed with almond milk, fruits etc. so I thought "how bad can it be? stop being a wimp and drink the dam thing". i was grotesquely wrong. the taste. wow. it's very earthy and artificial. like how I imagine soil tastes after a car tyre was melted on it. it lingers in the nasal canals forever, clinging to your nose hair. you may think I'm joking, but, the drink, it knows how bad it is and wants to punish you for as long as possible. the thought of particles of this soil drink clinging to my nose hair consumed my thoughts so much I considered pulling out the hairs as an attempt to outsmart it. I mixed it with, peanut butter, fruits, hazelnut and almond milk, amongst others and it only makes it worse because the initial taste is relatively ok, but then the evil b*stard ambushes you at the end when all the lovely flavours have left your pallet. bam! burnt tyre soil in your nose. people giving this 5 stars and pretending it's OK, I'm annoyed at them. under no circumstances is this ok and I bought it on the back of People saying it was ok. it's simply not true. I managed half of a bag before I succumbed to failure and went back to whey. fellow my protein customers have let me down with their reviews. for some reason , they're pretending it's OK because they're scared to admit they made a terrible mistake. "I mix mine with a banana, Chia seeds, manuka honey and really compliments it". That's BS. only purchase this if you want to do bush tucker trials.

So I got this as a dairy alternative. I've took it to work so I'm stuck with it and it is vile. The taste is disgusting even with Apple flav drops in! I'd look towards beef protein if you want an alternative as this is disgusting . Having to pinch my nose when drinking it

Everything about the hemp protein is a go. It tastes like dirt but who cares. The sugar from 1 frozen banana is enough to sweeten it up enough. Great nutrition content & I recommend this product. The only downside is the packaging. I got the 2.5 kg bag and it won't close. I have the standard MP whey also & it has the new packaging. It properly seals. The hemp bag is an absolute nightmare & this is pretty disappointing. Annoying more than anything.

I have been looking for a supplement without all the additional nonsense they put in some protein powders these days, and this is it. Very clean and natural, great in the mornings in an earthy breakfast smoothie and perfect for a post workout shake. You have to play with different food combinations to get the right mixability and taste in a smoothie initially, but the natural, earthy flavour remind you of how clean it really is. Regarding post workout a full scoop of hemp with alpro coconut milk is all you need to chug it down, personally a perfect tasting combo. Ps. the new sealant on the unflavoured bag is a big hit, easy to press together and fasten without needing to match the sides up.

I am relatively new to the world of protein supplements. I ordered and have tried the Hemp protein as the Whey seemed to bloat me. Hemp protein is absolutely disgusting. I would much rather deal with bloating than to ever try this again. Might as well go eat some mud. I would not recommend to anyone. Goes well with nothing. Just don't bother. Stick with whey.... Its Whey better

I purchased hemp as it seems it's the only vegan option. Tried it a few times before and after the gym but not sure if its effective. I have to mix it with fruit & almond milk to try to make it palatable but it still tastes awful. It's also difficult to mix. I'll finish the pouch but dont think Ill be buying more.

This product is literally the worst tasting product I have encountered. The taste is literally like eating leaves and it doesn't mix with water at all. I will definitely be sticking with the brown rice protein!

Tastes of hemp, can't really judge effectiveness yet, but does postpone hunger and facilitates recovery.

Consistent product we even like the strong plastic bags - we use them to hold tent spikes. I choose Hemp protein because it's totally vegans and, as far as I know, its farming is not damaging the environment either at home or abroad. Hemp grows wild even beside motorways. I's pleased that it is quoted as having the right balance of amino acids for muscle repair/growth.

After using dairy based protein supplements, for many years, I decided to try MP Hemp Protein as an alternative. I mixed up my first shake with the Hemp Protein, which mixed well with semi skimmed milk. After less than 10 minutes of consuming my first Hemp Protein shake I started to feel a little unwell. After approximately 20 minutes my hands began to swell up and burn/itch, so did my feet. My throat began to close up and I started to lose my voice and became short of breath and wheezy. By the 30 minute stage I came out in hives on my hands, arms, legs, upper body and even in my mouth. Obviously at this stage I was becoming very worried and realised that I was having a very bad allergic/anaphylactic reaction to the hemp. With a bit of quick thinking I decided to take an antihistamine tablet to try to prevent a trip to A & E. Thankfully, within 15 mins of taking the antihistamine the symptoms started to reduce. With a bit of research it seems that this sort of reaction to hemp products is not that uncommon. So if you are thinking about trying MP Hemp Protein please think very carefully before buying and consuming it. I do not have any allergies to nuts or any other foods, so was caught completely off guard by the reaction I experienced. BEWARE!

Well I've never had hemp protein before so this was my first time. I chose it in alternative for whey. It is proven to be more healthy than when but it tastes really bitter. Ive tried mixing with smoothies. But it still tastes bitter.

This is reasonably easy to mix. I add it to a little water, stir with a chopstick until it's a paste than add oat milk. I porefer the pea isolate as this makes me think of the powdered henna I use to dye may hair! Very herbal, but not unpleasant.

That's a very good alternative to whey, for me the it is working well. One has to get used to the flavour, which is still better than moSt of other vegan blands.

Very very happy with this product goes great with my veg smoothies and feel fantastic after drinking them. I blend it so it mixes very well but without a blender its a bit harder to get rid of all the lumps. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay away from milk based proteins.

This product is good, don't have much to say. The taste is terrible, but for sure is more natural than other stuff. So don't buy for the taste but for for what it does. Very thick to mix, but with a blender the situation can improve. Will def buy it again.

I was scared of buying this as people where talking about how bitter it was, but if you can down the taste BCAAs this is a walk in the park. It's slightly bitter, but bitter tastes are meant to increase your bile production helping digestion. You can also taste it's nuttiness in whatever you're making but you will easily get used to it. I have flatulence problems with almost every protein powder on the market but this has eliminated it completely. I've even stopped getting acne too as my gut has healed from the damage. I haven't lost any mass since switching from dairy and egg proteins and it mixes easier than Casien and Whey. It absorbs a lot of water so you're going to have to add a lot more moisture to your recipes.

Vegan Proats: 1 scoop with Rolled Oats, Banana, Sweetened Soy, Mixed spice and/or Cocoa. Vegan Pre/Post Workout Shake: 2 scoops with Creatine, Spirulina, Green Tea, Cocoa, Ginger, Spinach Beetroot Juice, Mixed Berries, Banana, Ceylon Cinnamon. And the best recipe....Water.
