Easiest way to take this cheeky little number... Teaspoon of dry powder straight to the mouth (hold your breath as you'll inhale some of the fine powder and it will make you cough) then just chase it with a nice big mouth full of water and swish in your mouth for several seconds until it starts to thicken and swallow. I follow it up with another spoon full or 2 depending on how I feel and down a big glass of water! Tastes faintly of apple. Sooooo simple!Goes Well With:Water
So I have been buying this product from a different company for the last 18 months or so and literally love it. If you have a high protein diet, low carb diet then you need to incorporate this. During my first visit to My Protein I found their version of Apple Fibre and at a complete fraction of the price I was paying before hand, (I wont say how much I paid before as it is slightly embrassing). Because of such a big difference in price I was excited to see if there was going to be a different in quality and effectiveness. I placed the two products side by side and well they are excatly the same! Same taste, texture, mix, everything about this product is the same as my last one but so much cheaper. The apple fibre is effective in making you hit your daily fibre intake which in return also helps you go to the toilet a lot easier. I have this product every day and mix with my morning porridge, shakes, pancakes or just in a glass of water. There is the slighest apple hint to the product but I didnt really notice it and it doesnt ruin the flavour of anything you put it with. What I love about this product most is, if you ladies are trying to tone your stomach this will help reduce the size of your bottom abs, ( I call it my baby pouch) as it cleans you out and reduces swelling and bloatedness. Just make sure you drink plenty of water during the day whilst using this product to see its full effectiveness. Goes Well With:Mixes in porridge, pancake mix, water, protein shakes.
It's not so good with water but in smoothie you don't even taste it. I like it that way or if it's with water than it has to be at least 1,5l bottle and then it's ok.Goes Well With:Smoothie
I used to buy fiber from other guys and this's the first time I order from myprotein for this item. I put two scoops into my whey shake and drink after my workout. It really made me feel better for the toilet next morning.Goes Well With:whey proten, juice, water
The product works well and is effective however it's really grainy and hard to mix, alone with water it tastes awful and makes me feel sick. I've tried mixing with my protein shake, but it takes away the nice taste of vanilla and ruins it. However, if you can get over the taste and texture and down it, it works well. It helps me keep regular and stops me feeling bloated.Goes Well With:Juice works best. Water is disgusting and missing with a shake ruins the flavour and texture.
I bought this for my mother, who suffers from medication induced constipation. I haven't tried it myself, but my mother tells me that it's very effective. Apparently it is almost entirely flavourless, and works well in porridge or yoghurt. She claims that it is a mild thickening agent.Goes Well With:Porridge, yoghurt
I rarely leave reviews but this product has changed my life quite literally! It took about 7 days to take effect (taking 10g per day) but since then there has been daily "activity" without any assistance from sennakot or other "natural" laxatives which I had become very dependent on in order to move things along!! I'm no longer bloated, I feel lighter and brighter and I'm so shocked at the effects - I didn't expect it to work so well! I follow a high protein and low-ish carb diet so getting this additional fibre is essential, other things I have tried have not been anywhere near as effective!! There is a faint taste of apple in the powder but it's hardly noticeable, I haven't had it just with water as I don't think it would go down well but have been mixing it into protein shakes, porridge, pancakes etc and it mixes well - just add a little extra water to compensate for the powder.Goes Well With:Porridge, shakes, pancakes, muffin mix
Simple. Apple fiber works and do job :)
Ive been following a low carb high protein eating plan and have started to introduce supplements to increase the effectiveness of my approach. I am purely fat loss driven at the moment and have been dedicated to putting in the diet effort and the hours at the gym. The high protein as having affects (without being graphic) on toilet frequency so this was recommended as an easy replacement. I mix it with my BCAA drink which I bought a the same time in the sour apple. It then combines to a nice apple drink to have when training. You need to shake it well and give it a good 5 mins before you start to drink as it does leave "scuzz" and has bits otherwise hence the score for mixing. All in all its not the end of the world, it DEFO does the trick and if you taking BCAA get the sour apple and combine Goes Well With:Water
Which is a good thing. I had 1/2 teaspoon of Whole Psyllium Husks and 1 teaspoon of this stuff with 500ml of water this morning and it tastes just fine, barely much different from water. Could easily go in a shake, which is what I'll be doing majority of the time. Only thing is where the flip is the MP small scoop?!?!?
Taste: Very, VERY slight apple flavour. Definitely not unpleasant or overpowering. You might taste it a little if it's mixed with something plain. When literally any other flavour is present, you cannot taste the fibre. Texture: Little bit gritty, which is to be expected from something full of insoluble fibre. Doesn't mix amazingly with water, but can be added to a shake easily and without affecting the taste or texture. I found it was easier to add the powder to porridge or cereal than to drink it. It's also possible to stir it into sauce or something just before serving without affecting the consistency. I definitely like adding it to food more than I like adding it to my shakes, but even mixing it into water is fine provided you don't let the fibre settle on the bottom. Overall, a very good product. I definitely like this more than other fibre options, and without being too graphic, it works very well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone on a high-protein diet or looking to up their fibre intake and I will be buying more when I run out.Goes Well With:Cereal, sauces, porridge, shakes
I have mixed feelings towards this product. I've tried it with cordial and mixed that in and it actually made me feel a bit sick! The grittiness was a bit overpowering! HOWEVER! When it is in a protein shake I couldn't taste it at all and the fact the Diet and Weight Loss range has oats in anyway, I of course couldn't taste the gritty texture which was a plus. I haven't really noticed a difference in the erm ... 'fiber' area of things either tbh, but I haven't been using it religiously so maybe that's the reason why? I don't know. I will continue using this product and using it more often and hopefully notice bigger effects........Goes Well With:Protein shake. Would not recommend it in water or cordial.
I don't use it regularly but only when I know I need extra fiber. Taste is not bad but def doesn't take like a fresh apple! It mixes well and works really well with protein muffins and smoothies. Goes Well With:Protein muffin mix
Great stuff. Does exactly what it says on the pouch. Easily mixed, doesn't taint your shake too much. Helps with weight loss and prevents bloating whilst providing a feeling of fullness. I use with impact whey, peanut butter and milk for a great shake and keeps me regular which I'm sure you will love reading! Goes Well With:All sorts. Banana, any powered shake. Need to drink lots of water with it though
Great for doing what its meant to do, but the taste aint too good by itself with water. You have to swallow it fast with a little water kinda like taking powder medicine but with a hint of apple flavour. Also no scoop so you have to measure out the 3-4 grams per day so a spoonful is a guess??? But saying that its just a little to swallow with each meal. Goes Well With:Water
This Apple Fibre does what is says, it mixes very easily and you don't taste it in a smoothie or shake.
I've been using it every morning and evening for 3 days now and I love it! I didn't think I would get results so quickly so that is definitely a + in my books, so I would definitely say to anybody, get it. you wont regret it! Also, I know its only been 3 days, but I seem to have lost 3lb since I started it.. don't know if that's a coincidence.. haven't been to the gym for a couple of days but diets still clean... anyway, it works.. get it in! Goes Well With:water, oat bran and protein shakes.
I started using this only a few days ago as I didn't have enough fibre in my diet. I used Inulin which is difficult to mix in water and having read the reviews on this product I haven't yet tried it as a drink. However as a few suggested I have mixed it with my porridge in the mornings with cranberrys and banana. There is no taste of it that I can tell, it doesn't thicken the porridge too much. It definetly fills you up, first day I couldn't finish the bowl! And the effect of the fibre? First class, without going into detail it does exactly what fibre should. No stomach cramps either which is a big plus for me. Thoroughly recommend this fibre, will definetly be buying more though am only using a teaspoon of it so should last a while. I also as MP advise drink more water than I would have using this product. Goes Well With:Porridge and fruit
I add this Apple Fibre to my protein drinks and it keeps me regular.
I mix this Apple Fibre with milkshake. It tastes a little bitter but a works wonders. I will be ordering further supplies.
