Love it

I have been buying hemp protein for a long time now and the Myprotein powder is unrivalled for taste and price. I use the powder mostly for baking as it is a great way to add protein but it is a really versatile product. It is a brilliant dairy free protein powder and the amount of protein per gram is impressive. I'm yet to find one nutritionally beneficial as the Myprotein one.

Does the job, but tastes and feels gritty

I'm veggie, and trying to cut animal products out as much as possible, so this seemed perfect. Hemp is a great product so this immediately grabbed my eye, and since I'm not a huge fan of sweet protein shakes, the reviews saying it tasted "earthy" appealed to me! And, it does, but maybe a little too much so. But my main issues is that is seems to really struggle to mix with liquid. I've mixed it with oat and soy milk, both in a shaker and a blender, and added cacao and a banana, but it's still gritty. I'm going to keep at it since it's not horrid, but it is a little hard to drink. When pouring it from the blender to the shaker the grittiness is very obvious.

Review of My Protein HEMP powder

I continue to use HEMP powder because it's free from milk products and it plant-based. As far as I know the farming of cannabis plants (hemp) does not cause deforestation or child exploitation - all of which are important concerns to me. It's also claimed to have as near a balance of amino acids as first-class proteins (meat). Even the tough packaging has found a use in my business.

Excellent With A Few Additions

Great alternative for those wanting to avoid dairy, wouldn't recommend drinking with just water though. I blend it with 300ml almond milk, a tablespoon of cocoa, tablespoon of chia seeds, a banana and a tablespoon of honey/maple syrup pour over a bowl of berries, kiwi and nuts for Paleo/Vegan Friendly breakfast.

Excellent

Great vegetarian option, taste is decent. Really fills you up and makes feel more energized. Wish to buy more given a chance.

Not the worst taste

To be honest, I didn't mind the taste. I have had some vegan protein powders before and that tasted like mud. I usually have a scoop of this with my weetabix cereal and I add a few raisins. Sometimes I have half a scoop with half a scoop of whey protein in water. Although the protein percentage may not be as high as others, I do feel stronger with this and with more energy during workouts

Weetabix cereal, banana smoothie and sometimes (if you're desperate for gains) just with water

Coffee Cure

After reading the taste reviews I was a bit wary but after a few days I got to like it. I get 1/2 a mug of oats in a bowl, cup and a 1/2 of water, put it in the microwave for 1 min let it stand and cool down (have your morning shower). The oats absorb the water while cooling for better porridge. Back in the microwave for 1 and 1/2 mins then add scoop of hemp, table spoon of mild flax seed, heap tea spoon off coffee, honey, stir it all up then add a chopped banana.

Porridge, Coffee, Honey, Banana, Flax.

Perfect for My Needs

Being vegan and lactose intolerant I was looking for a good plant protein powder to help with my fitness. Hemp protein is definitely my favourite as it has a complete set of essential amino acids and it's very kind to my gut. It does have an earthy 'green' taste if you're having it on its own which I'm not particularly a fan of, but I blend it in a smoothie with 2 frozen bananas, berries, spinach, chia seeds, nuts and almond/cashew milk and it tastes great. Blending it mixes it well and I haven't noticed any issues with it floating or separating. Finished the first bag and about to buy my second one. Thanks!

Hemp protein

I love the stuff! I use it to make small pancakes with egg white and they taste a bit like buckwheat. Or it's nice added to muesli if I want to avoid artificial sweeteners.
