Really lovely vegan protein .. would be great to have some other flavours though
Very cheap quality, tastes awful almost like having sand in your mouth because it doesn’t mix or blend! I’ve tried many brand of vegan protein, this is by far the worst one I’ve ever tried. Save yourself some money and buy from a better brand, this is not worth the money. Goes Well With:The bin.
Half of the protein powder dissolves in liquids, while the other half remains a sandy texture, running against your tongue, and building up around your teeth when you drink it. The flavour (Chocolate smooth), is ok at first, but then has a very bitter aftertaste. I can imagine the unflavoured blend to be solely a bitter taste that is extremely unpleasant. I have yet to personally try this blend for any sort of baking (my hopes are extremely low for that to work) as I have 5kg remaining in my room. Goes Well With:Not sure really...
Good to fuel up our ambition with my protein supplements. ..Proteins are the main building blocks of the human body. They're used to make various important things, both large and small. This includes tendons, organs and skin... as well as hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters and all sorts of tiny molecules.Proteins are also the building blocks of the contractile elements in muscle.Proteins are assembled from amino acids, smaller molecules that are linked together like beads on a string. Some amino acids are produced by the body's cells, while others must be gotten from foods. The ones that we must get from foods are termed "essential" amino acids. Proteins that supply all the essential amino acids are the best... and whey protein is loaded with them.It is particularly high in important Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) like Leucine, and also contains a large amount of Cysteine. Studies show that Leucine is the most anabolic (growth promoting) amino acid, and Cysteine can help boost levels of the cellular antioxidant Glutathione. Whey protein appears to be particularly effective at stimulating growth in humans. Human breast milk is actually 60% whey, compared to 20% in cow's milk.
Very easy to mix with other ingredients and unoffensive taste.Goes Well With:Banana, Nut butter, almond milk and cocoa powder.
I have only just started using vegan blend, after my preferred mix, hurricane XS started to give me an upset stomach - I'm a delicate little flower! It doesn't contain creatine for a start, so I am now taking capsules to get my creatine fix, and I haven't checked but I would guess its got less calorific content. It mixes easily, but needs more liquid to get a smooth shake, it doesnt taste great, despite being called smooth chocolate. You can also tell its from a vegetable source, it has a slightly fibrous texture. Like most my protein stuff, it is good, I haven,t wasted away or bought a citroen 2cv yet so all good.
I got the chocolate one which tasted like your average pea protein shake. Not an amazing taste but not bad either, depends on how used you are to pea proteins. Has a very thin consistency also like other proteins (except for soy),so it doesn't give you that feeling of satiety if that's what you're looking after. However, i use it as i like to have various sources of plant based protein in my diet. 1 scoop of MP soy isolate after my workout, and 1 scoop of this at another point of the day. Nutritional value is also close to similar brands in the market so for this price i'd defo recommend this product. Goes Well With:Water
My protein supplements are genuine with no side effects. Anyone who have a dream to built muscles should use these supplements.Today we will discuss about benefits of protein in our body.Protein is in the spotlight these days, with articles touting diets high in protein and advertisements for protein powders in the media. Protein is, of course, an important building block in the body, but it is not the only building block. And furthermore, protein is made up of a variety of substances, with the result that not all protein sources are equal in value. Here are some of the facts about proteins Protein is essential to a healthy heart and a healthy body; animal sources of protein including eggs are better for you nutritionally since they contain all of the essential amino acids; as with most nutrients and vitamins, both too much and too little protein have detrimental effects on the body; and, protein cannot be stocked up like fat but must be eaten daily. Protein is the basic nutrient and plays an essential role in carrying cholesterol and preventing heart disease. The human body in its complexity needs dozens of nutritive substances. The one that stands before all others is protein, or proteins, since there is not one but hundreds of kinds of protein. Here’s what protein contributes We are literally made of protein from our bones to our muscles, arteries and veins, skin, hair, and fingernails. Our heart, brain, liver, kidneys, and lungs are built of tissue made of proteins. Proteins help carry the oxygen that reddens our blood. In the form of enzymes, proteins digest our food, synthesize essential substances, and break down waste products for elimination. When fat and carbohydrates are insufficient, proteins produce the energy we need for life. Proteins in combination with a substance called sterols form hormones, which regulate the delicate chemical changes that constantly take place within the body. The chromosomes, which pass on our characteristics to our children, include protein in their structure. Protein is needed to carry fat and cholesterol throughout the body.
Quite thick and tastes awful. Although it suggests mixing with juice or in a smoothie the predominant taste overpowers and feels sticky in your mouth. Not recommended. Goes Well With:Not a lot
I tried this protein because I think I was having having some allergy to the normal one (I was having spots). The taste is quite good, more thick (I like his way for porridge) but it has some texture like sand. The flavor is not as good as the normal protein , I got chocolate, but I think it is easier to digest Goes Well With:Oats
Really amazed me with the results. Tried it for the first time and really transform my body. I'm a 20 years girl who will represent ifbb next year and I know my protein supplements will help me.Whey protein is produced during the process that sees milk turned into cheese. It is also found naturally in dairy products, eggs, soy and vegetable proteins but none of these compares in quality to whey protein powder. It also scores highly in providing the branched chain amino acids that are important in the building and retention of muscle.Whey protein is highly favored by bodybuilders because it provides the necessary building blocks to produce the amino acids that the body uses to build lean muscle tissue. Many studies have shown that whey protein contains the perfect combination of amino acids, in just the right concentration for optimal performance in the body. It is also thought that whey protein has a role as an anti-oxidant and immune system builder. It is best taken in powder form mixed in juice or milk, spread throughout the day to maintain a positive nitrogen balance. Serious bodybuilders often consume up to one hundred fifty grams each day but as a rule of thumb, daily protein intake for active trainers can be calculated by taking your weight in pounds and multiplying by one or two. But remember, you need to work out how much protein is taken from food and other sources, and then spread the remaining whey protein balance over the day.Whey protein is a relatively safe supplement but no more than thirty grams of protein should be taken at one sitting as excessive single doses could overload the liver. The safety of whey protein has been well documented in many scientific studies and there is clear proof that taken consistently, coupled with regular exercise, it will result in meaningful muscle gain. After waiting over 3 weeks for delivery I was extremely dissappointed with everything about this product. Taste and texture is terrible. Only had a couple of mouthfuls and threw the rest away.Goes Well With:The rubbish bin.
I tried this as a shake with almond milk and it was disgusting, tasted so grainy. Thought it maybe because almond milk is quite thin so didn’t mix properly although I did it in my nutri bullet. I then tried to add it into porridge with oat milk but again, unedible and it went in the bin... along with the entire bag. Don’t waste your money Goes Well With:Left in the bag and in th bin
I find this vegan blend protein to be decent and just as effective as some other animal based products e.g. casein and whey based proteins which do not fit in with vegan diets. The muscle recovery benefits are on par i feel and this mixes thicker to make for a more filling shake than whey based proteins. Mixability is slightly different than whey or whey isolates and i would recommend going for a flavoured option e.g such as the chocolate because the varied plant based sources can have quite a strong taste which could be offputting for some. The enzymes make a great addition and i feel allow for this to be more effective which is why it is on par with other sources of protein, i also feel it is good to mix protein sources from time to time to keep the body in a state of growth and not getting used to the same protein sources. if you found any value in this review then please use code: GEOFF - RDT (no space in between dash and letters) and all in capital letters at checkout to get up to 85% off order depending on current offers. My protein supplements are the building blocks which provide high quality protein to our body.Vegetarian sources of proteins include legumes, nuts, seeds and fruits. Legumes, some of which are called pulses in certain parts of the world, have higher concentrations of amino acids and are more complete sources of protein than whole grains and cereals. Examples of vegetarian foods with protein concentrations greater than seven percent include soybeans, lentils, kidney beans, white beans, mung beans, chickpeas, cowpeas, lima beans, pigeon peas, lupines, wing beans, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, walnuts, cotton seeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds. My protein company shared today how much protein intake is necessary for an individual. The U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines recommend a protein intake of 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. Bodybuilders and athletes need more than this baseline amount. Heavy lifters might need as much as 2 grams per kilogram -- almost a gram per pound -- for optimal muscle growth. While protein isn't the only macronutrient you need for bodybuilding, it's essential to the process. Proteins are the bricks with which your body builds muscle.
After realising how low I was in protein as a vegetarian I decided to order this. I think the taste is actually pretty Good! My recovery is much quicker from weight sessions since using this which is great. However, my main issue with this product is how it coats your teeth! I have tried it in a variety of ways- with water, with coconut milk, with yoghurt etc. No matter how I have it I have to take a gulp of water after each mouthful just to get rid of it.
I've been meaning to write this for a little while. Just started to go towards being vegan and stop consuming dairy etc. Don't understand why all these vegan options need to taste like a dehydrated foot powder! But anyway, seems to be working well and after a bit of playing around I've got some additional ingredients that almost make this poon powder taste good! Add in a generous serving of Honey (yes I know not vegan so I'm not 100%) or you can use maple syrup. A spoonful of cacao powder Smooth almond or peanut butter, make sure it's smooth you don't want lumps in this bad boy even with the better flavour! And use oat milk instead of water. Boom. Doesn't taste nearly as bad. I hope this helps some of you! Goes Well With:Honey or maple syrup, cacao powder, smooth almond or peanut butter and oat milk
My Protein Vegan Blend is a great additional source of protein for every vegan who is trying to have a healthy and balanced diet.Goes Well With:Coconut milk in a bowl with banana, apple, chia seeds and flax seeds.
