Anyone who complains about either the taste of this or the mixability has obviously never tried Carnipro....... Yeah, it tastes a bit earthy - much better with the flavour drops though, but it is actually very drinkable - just don't expect a McDonalds shake. It mixes very well - you can actually just put it in a shaker bottle with water and it mixes - unlike CarniPro that you have to mix like a rue. No glutinous lumps which is always a treat. As an Anti-Lactosite this is definitely my preferred protein source of choice. It's not far off Whey or Beef in terms of grams of protein - haven't really been taking it long enough to get a good idea of performance but so far so good :)Goes Well With:instant oats
While I have not tried a lot of protein powders I generally haven't liked what I have tasted before and found they stayed too powdery. I'm also vegetarian but have had issues with my stomach if I use regular protein powers. This powder does not have a strong taste and I generally just taste the fruit etc I use in the shakes I make. Also, it mixes in really well. I think if I had a better mixer it would probably have gotten 5/5 for that too. The delivery is so quick and the prices are great!
Not only is it the best vegan protein I've tasted, it's the best of any protein I've tasted Goes Well With:Almond milk
The protein has worked really well for me. The taste is pretty bland (a little plastery)- but it makes it good for adding to anything - porridge, soup, smoothies, stews. Mixes well so you don't get any grainy texture. I have nearly finished my third pouch and will be getting more. Goes Well With:porridge, soup, smoothies, stews, pancakes.
I think its a great protein blend, from plants! Of course, taste is no the best, but if you add a banana to the blend, it will taste great. In general, what protein powder tastes good?? I'm pretty happy with this one because it provides the needed protein in my diet. Great price as well. However, I wish MyProtein would provide the information where the plant protein comes from - and maybe considering an organic option.Goes Well With:Banna, almond/soy milk or coconut water . Very tasty
Slightly powdery but tastes good blended really well with oat milk or rice milk, great essential amino acid profile.Good for making protein cookies as well.Goes Well With:frozen banana milkshake
Finally found a protein powder suitable for vegans. Good stuff. I mix it with water and bananas. Ignore the soft lads moaning about the taste. Get it down you and work out.
Really struggled to drink this at all. Love all the other products but not this. I really couldn't drink it at all. I asked for a refund but it was rejected.
Decent vegan protein, good amino acid profile and digestive enzymes help. My only concern is as follows. Stop using sucralose as a sweetener, it's toxic, kills beneficial microflora and potential carcinogen. Replace with steviol glycosides and it will be a perfect product for all vegans.
Ever the optimist & with a keen eye on continuing weight loss whilst retaining as much muscle as possible. I opted for this vegan blend, given the lower calorie per serving (116 per 30g). It is way to sweet to taste and anything you throw in to help dull that taste just ramps up the calories. Defeating the object for me personally. However if you can handle the texture of grit or sand and the intense sweetness doesn't put you off. Go ahead buy it. Makes for a good doorstop.Goes Well With:NOTHING
My girlfriend and I religiously used the Vanilla Whole Fuel vegan protein. They recently stopped selling it :(! But we were excited to try the chocolate flavour of this protein as we'd never tried the chocolate flavour of the previous one. Honestly, it was the worst thing my girlfriend and I have tasted. Didn't taste remotely like chocolate, or sweet to either of us. We're gonna have to be going somewhere else for our protein now :(. Goes Well With:Nothing
Tastes great, mixes well with anything. Works as well as any other protein I've usedGoes Well With:Coconut milk
Strange taste and texture even when mixed with oats and almond milk overnight, although adding more milk and a little less protein makes it a little more bearable. Does the job in providing the protein needed and will continue to use.Goes Well With:Rolled oats, almond milk and banana overnight oats.
Read some of the reviews on here and was expecting rubbish but ordered anyway, it came and is fine. Having in the past used regular protein before turning vegan I have to say it doesn't mix as well as whey but it tastes good and the texture isn't silky smooth but it's a good protein and gets the job done well, I like it.Goes Well With:Sweetened Almond Milk
I know these are never the best tasting things in the world but they are normally palatable when mixed with other ingredients, but not this. It is absolutely VILE. I tried to like it on a few occasions and mixed it with all sorts but it just isn't fit for human consumption.Goes Well With:nothing
I get quite bad hayfever and someone recommended switching out my whey protein for a non-dairy version, so I thought I'd try the vegan blend. It's just really grainy and isn't anywhere as nice as the whey protein. It's fine and serves a purpose.
Not much to say its a very tasty protein powder it mixes well on its own but i prefer to use it in either my morning porridge or smoothie. It tastes great and not overly sweet either. Have already repurchased a second KG. Please don't stop making this.Goes Well With:Porridge, Smoothies and on its own with water or Almond Milk
When I first got the powder I thought it seemed a bit gritty as stated in some reviews. However, I quickly learnt that adding things to it makes it actually taste really good and hides the slight grittiness (as expected with a vegan protein)! My favourite is just some banana and water and it tastes amazing! Yoghurt is also brilliant with it! Havent tried it with any milks but I imagine those would also enhance the flavour! Great vegan protein!!Goes Well With:Banana, yoghurt
I like the taste of it, it's different to any protein kind I've ever tried. The only bad thing is that when mixing it the taster and texture of it is stronger than anything else so as much as you mix it you will still feel it. But anyway it is a good taste and texture to me.
Tastes great! At last an effective vegan protein powder that doesn't repeat on you, mixes well & tastes delicious! Enjoy.
