Great hemp powder
Use this everyday and put it in my breakfast oats- gives a lovely nutty flavour and it’s 50% protein!Goes Well With:Porridge, smoothiesÂ
Report this reviewGood lactose free alternative
If your good at mixing shakes then it can be mixed OK. Taste is fine for me but I add a teaspoon of jam or it would be a bit bitter.
Report this reviewMakes a decent protein smoothie
Over the last few years I've experimented with various supplementary protein sources to have alongside my regular diet. I've tried whey protein (made me sick)… pea protein (gave me insane stomach cramps), clear vegan protein (tasted sickly sweet and synthetic) and now this. I'm also notoriously bad for not having breakfast in the mornings, so I've recently started making smoothies. Today I used 2 scoops of the hemp protein powder, a handful of kale because I really like the flavour and I'm pretty anemic, a handful of frozen berries, a cup of apple juice, and water. It's made a litre of protein smoothie. Tastes really good, although the hemp protein doesn't dissolve so it is a bit grainy but far preferabe to the grainy texture of other protein powders. It has a pretty earthy and almost grassy taste which is actually not too bad. Goes Well With:In a protein smoothie with berries and greens
Report this reviewGreat Hemp
Mixes better than other hemps I have used. Great protein kick with essential fibre. I also use it as a flour in baking. Great quality product, prompt delivery, and a great price (on sales)Goes Well With:Cocoa. Baked goods.Â
Report this reviewDoesn't go well alone
I think it's a healthy powder but I can not say I like the taste and have to mix with something else. Mostly for me it's vanilla vegan isolate.Goes Well With:Other protein with a nice taste
Report this reviewunusual Taste
I like this product and will definitely buy it again. it does however have a taste and texture all of its own and may not be to everyone's taste. it mixes pretty well and i add a small scoop of banana and cinnamon Protein & Greens Powder which makes for a tasty and healthy combination.Goes Well With: banana and cinnamon Protein & Greens Powder
Report this reviewShake Up Your Protein Routine
A great option to add a less processed protein to your daily protein supplementation. Collagen in my coffee with breakfast. Hemp protein at lunch and a whey in the evening.Goes Well With:Cocoa powder and milk. Cold soak from morning to lunch time.
Report this reviewNo Frills
I don't buy protein for taste or method of administration. I buy it because it fits my diet and because it was a very good price at the time I bought it. It doesn't taste too good (the most accurate I can state is that it tastes very 'green'), doesn't mix very well but does what a protein powder needs to do. Also, unrelatedly, is pretty good for baking/making pancakes or other stuff that doesn't involve drinking it.Goes Well With:Buckwheat flour to make pancakes. Blended into smoothies with green fruit.
Report this reviewNutri info?
Hemp is know for high ratio of fiber. Nutritional info on this product doesn't say there is any fiber in this product. Also apparently cold pressed protein should be utilized as apparently, heat causes hemp protein to be less digestible so less going into muscle - unfortunately no info how this product is made and I really wanted to try that, after I found pea protein to be OK.
Report this reviewProtein top up
Most effective and well balanced way to top up my daily protein intake I could find. Very functional, however I need to mix it with Flavoured milk, or in a Smoothie to mask the taste and blend it in. Goes Well With:Flavoured milk alternative or Smoothie
