Great for a beginner

I really loved reading through this, as a gym beginner at the start of their fitness journey, learning about macros and how much I should have is such a difficult thing to get your head around until I read through this! couldn’t recommend more

Pretty good

A pretty solid guide with some good nutrition tips, meal plans and 4 workouts which have sets and reps, are illustrated and a brief paragraph describing the correct form. It's quite leg-focused though, with 2 of the 4 being exclusively legs, but it's certainly been effective so far and gets me to stop ignoring leg day! A few of the movement choices are a bit sub-optimal, such as the overhead dumbbell tricep extension; I find a bent-over tricep extension using the cable machine is far more effective at doing the same thing and doesn't kill my elbows. I'd say 80% of the exercises are perfectly fine though and the 20% that aren't will just need maybe half an hour or so looking up better alternatives and just swap them out. Plenty of trustworthy YouTubers out there for ideas for alternatives, such as Greg Doucette, AthleanX and Alan Thrall.
