Taste is really good. Not like pea protein at all, really palatable.Goes Well With:Berries
Would highly recommend the chocolate flavoured one. So far I have only been using it for mixing it in with my foods (mainly porridge) but it is so tasty! The powder itself smells like drinking chocolate powder, its lovely and great to bake with too. I haven't tried it as a drink yet, but I can imagine mixed with almond milk it would be quite nice. I have found it very useful for upping my daily protein intake, will definitely be buying more of it. Goes Well With:Porridge, pancakes, baked goods
Good basic protein. Could taste better but it doesnt matter because I mix it always with juice or something. Could definately mix better! Leaves easily nasty lumps... But still as on title, THE only option for me because my stomach cant stand whey.Goes Well With:Tough Powerlifting
I was quite impressed by how easily it was mixed in a shaker. Smells just like ice cream (vanilla flavour) and tastes just like soya ice cream. You do get a slight 'cardboard taste' (very mild) but theres no getting away from that when its soy, just like soy milk/ice cream/etc. Being lactose intolerant this is the best option I reckon. Far better taste than other non-dairy proteins I've tried.Goes Well With:Water
I have turned to a non diary protein due to the whey protein giving me spots which I expected, as I get this with all diary products, although I still can have it once a week. I ordered the vanilla flavour soy protein as the chocolate whey protein is a bit sickly for me. I made it as usual and did find it mixed a lot thicker than the whey protein & therefore had to add a lot more almond milk & a bit of water. I find the vanilla taste of this is delicious and once you add more liquid the texture it just a notch down in comparison to the whey mix. Nice recipe to make is 1 scoop powder, 300ml Almond milk, handful of frozen blueberries, ice & blend. Tastes like a blueberry muffin - great for breakfast! :) Overall a decent non dairy alternative.Goes Well With:Almond milk & a blender
Decided to get this because I've managed to slowly become allergic to wheat over the years and wanted something that didn't bloat me up. Flav: Smooth Chocolate. I have mine three ways. 1) In oats Protein boost in a morning, oats, water (plenty of) and a scoop of powder. Topped off with some sugar free syrup. Mixes well and makes for a cracking breakfast. Tastes lovely. 2) Midday shake teaspoon almond butter, couple of drops of baking essence (caramel), 300ml water, 2 scoops protein. Almond butter makes it a lot thicker but it's thick and creamy, mixes well with water and done in the blender. 3) As-is Just plain ol water and it tastes great. Goes Well With:water and a shaker ;-)
The Chocolate Smooth flavour is very nice and goes well with unsweetened Almond milk. It tastes quite sweet so great as an alternative to a sweet treat.Goes Well With:Almond Milk
Without the fun flavours the whey has to offer I purchased the unflavoured with the MyProtein FlavDrops to create my own. I love the thickness of the shake if only 250mL of water is used. The thickness is a huge bonus as I want the ease of just using water and whey tends to taste like powder and water and is very liquid-y. Mixes amazingly well and fast and the taste doesn't taste like soy. This is the best non-dairy protein powder I have ever tried. I recommend unflavoured and adding in your own flavourings.Goes Well With:Water, Oatmeal
Don't use as a shake as mixes not that well but makes an amazing mousse and topping for protein brownieGoes Well With:Almond milk and water
I haven't used this powder long enough to see massive benefit from it yet but the flavour is very nice and not too over powering. Goes very nicely with porridge or with fruit in a shake. It doesn't mix too well with water, I end up using 400 or so ml instead of the usual 250 as it comes out very thick and I do mean Very! Oddly enough it mixes fine with soya milk though. Great if you have allergies I was getting stomach aches using the whey powder which have now cleared up and I don't feel so bloated after these. I would definitely recommend this product! Goes Well With:Fruit Soya milk Porridge Cereal
After recently discovering milk was down to all my stomach issues I had to stop using my whey protein which I loved post workout. However I noticed this Soy protein alternative and thought I would give it a go in strawberry. Gross! Its like saying to down a pint of chalk. As people have said previous it goes way too thick so less power and more water is needed, I had to mix before my session to allow the foam to settle and then every sip comes with a strong chalk/metal after taste. Not a great alternative I must say. I am going to try and mix with some milk alternatives and fruit etc but I don't have high expectations. Goes Well With:Not sure yet
I've been feeding this to my underweight pony that can't tolerate even the smallest amounts of sugar and she is looking better after only three weeks. She is really fussy about supplements and often refuses to eat new things but apparently this tastes great!
I've only just started using the Soy Protein Isolate so my review may be a bit premature but in terms of taste quite like it despite the fact I don't usually like soya. I don't know how well it mixes in a bottle as I only mix it in a blender and seems to blend fine. A bit thicker than other products I've used which I like but if you prefer thinner consistency you can just add more water/milk. I haven't put much for effectiveness (which I assume is referring to whether or not it helps you to stay lean or gain muscle) because I've only just begun using it. Overall I like. Goes Well With:I use rice milk
I have tried various non whey products and these are my fave. Ordered all three flavours and all taste good and mix well for me, also have a nice consistency. I mix with two parts rice or almond milk and one part water. Will definitely keep buying these! Goes Well With:rice milk or almond milk
This is the first protein powder I have ever tried, and honestly, I don't enjoy it. I have the chocolate flavour and the texture and taste makes me want to throw up. This was disappointing as I thought that myprotein would make something that was slightly edible. Goes Well With:Nothing, just chug it down as quickly as possible
This is a great protein for lean muscle as it is very low in fat and carb although the recommended usage of 1.5 scoops does make it slightly less cost effective than some others. Plain flavour should be avoided, vanilla flavour is nice but weak in taste so I would recommend chocolate flavour all the way with it's full flavour and silky finish. Goes Well With:Creatine Monohydrate, Weight-training, Cardio HIIT.
This protein powder is great and one of the best I've tried as a Dairy alternative.I mix it with rice milk and almond milk which works very well.
Really tasty protein powder for vegans/dairy-free. I was also really surprised by the low amount of calories. Chocolate smooth is the one I've tried so far and it's really nice. Goes Well With:Great in porridge, thick smoothies with frozen bananas and protein pancakes.
I wanted to try other sources of slow digesting proteins. I was very pleased with the thick texture you can obtain if mixed with not too much water, like caseinates, it is very good for appetite suppressing during cuts. But, unfortunately, the taste was awful (Vanilla in my case). It may have something to do with the soy itself apparently. I have been advised by a friend to use it in yogurts to make it bearable and finish the stock, so I will try. I will go back to caseinates next time.Goes Well With:Yogurt I guess, or anything strong enough to cover the taste
Have been using this for a year, vanilla chocolate and strawberry cream are all great. Highly recommended. Been making gains with no problem on a vegan diet.Goes Well With:WATER
