"This has been the first protein shake I've bought in powder form. At first I didn't use a shaker to mix, but instead just a blender or fork - something I really don't recommend! With a protein shaker it tastes great, and mixes very well with water. Tends to get a bit thick with milk. Fills me up and has helped me put on weight immediately."
"This product is good to a certain extent, i have gained just under half a stone. But i went on the scales the other day and i had lost some of the weight i had gained. I think my motabilism does not suit this product as my body disposes of it very quickly. I found the mixability to be quite honest rubbish, it often left a massive lump in the middle of my shaker that didnt want to mix. The vannila taste wasnt that nice tasted a bit sickly. I think this product is ok but no better than that it only lasted me 2 weeks aswell which i thought was a waste of money. think i will go back to using hurricane."
"I have used both the standard and elite variants of Total Gainer (strawberry and vanilla) and both have been extremely poor in mixability; the worst out of a number of weight gain products I have used in the past. The consistency is also very gloopy, and isn't the best tasting - strawberry tastes slightly better than the vanilla (I'm usually a fan of vanilla shakes). However, it is reasonably effective and I usually put on a few kg over a few weeks whilst on it. But these results aren't necessarily exceptional in comparison to other weight gainers."
"Out of all the protein shakes ive brought off myprotein, this is the worst. The taste is absolutely horrible (a real bad after taste), doesnt mix well and doesnt give you any results. Dont waste your money and buy this."
"Superb product, choc mint tastes great and despite other reviews mixes well.....shake is smooth (add powder first then milk/water). 3 shakes a day and I've put on around a 6kg recently with plenty of compound exercises and eating.....excellent way to bulk up on the cheap"
Has anyone made the switch from Total Gainer to this? Is it worth the extra money?
