MyProtein supplements are good for our overall health. Daily intake of protein help in reducing fat from our body. Today we will discuss about benefits of protein in our body.Protein is in the spotlight these days, with articles touting diets high in protein and advertisements for protein powders in the media. Protein is, of course, an important building block in the body, but it is not the only building block. And furthermore, protein is made up of a variety of substances, with the result that not all protein sources are equal in value. Here are some of the facts about proteins Protein is essential to a healthy heart and a healthy body; animal sources of protein including eggs are better for you nutritionally since they contain all of the essential amino acids; as with most nutrients and vitamins, both too much and too little protein have detrimental effects on the body; and, protein cannot be stocked up like fat but must be eaten daily. Protein is the basic nutrient and plays an essential role in carrying cholesterol and preventing heart disease. The human body in its complexity needs dozens of nutritive substances. The one that stands before all others is protein, or proteins, since there is not one but hundreds of kinds of protein. Here’s what protein contributes We are literally made of protein from our bones to our muscles, arteries and veins, skin, hair, and fingernails. Our heart, brain, liver, kidneys, and lungs are built of tissue made of proteins.Proteins help carry the oxygen that reddens our blood. In the form of enzymes, proteins digest our food, synthesize essential substances, and break down waste products for elimination. When fat and carbohydrates are insufficient, proteins produce the energy we need for life.Proteins in combination with a substance called sterols form hormones, which regulate the delicate chemical changes that constantly take place within the body. The chromosomes, which pass on our characteristics to our children, include protein in their structure.Protein is needed to carry fat and cholesterol throughout the body.
Really amazed me with the results. Tried it for the first time and really transform my body. I'm a 20 years girl who will represent ifbb next year and I know my protein supplements will help me.Whey protein is produced during the process that sees milk turned into cheese. It is also found naturally in dairy products, eggs, soy and vegetable proteins but none of these compares in quality to whey protein powder. It also scores highly in providing the branched chain amino acids that are important in the building and retention of muscle.Whey protein is highly favored by bodybuilders because it provides the necessary building blocks to produce the amino acids that the body uses to build lean muscle tissue. Many studies have shown that whey protein contains the perfect combination of amino acids, in just the right concentration for optimal performance in the body. It is also thought that whey protein has a role as an anti-oxidant and immune system builder. It is best taken in powder form mixed in juice or milk, spread throughout the day to maintain a positive nitrogen balance. Serious bodybuilders often consume up to one hundred fifty grams each day but as a rule of thumb, daily protein intake for active trainers can be calculated by taking your weight in pounds and multiplying by one or two. But remember, you need to work out how much protein is taken from food and other sources, and then spread the remaining whey protein balance over the day.Whey protein is a relatively safe supplement but no more than thirty grams of protein should be taken at one sitting as excessive single doses could overload the liver. The safety of whey protein has been well documented in many scientific studies and there is clear proof that taken consistently, coupled with regular exercise, it will result in meaningful muscle gain. I bought this along with the soya protein and this is the winner. I have recently been having problems with being able to digest my regular whey protein, so I needed to mix it up. The flavour is nice, I tried it on it's own first and then tried with some flavdrops, I liked it either way. The only issue with this is it ends up half froth, i did mix this with water, I may need to experiment with some almond milk instead! Goes Well With:Flavdrops
I bought the egg white powder in chocolate flavour as looking for an alternative to whey powder which I can't use due to intolerance to dairy. I've tried lots of other alternatives and during pregnancy I could no longer stand vegan powder blends, the thought now makes me feel sick still. I am so impressed with the flavour and how well it mixes either with water or dairy free milks. Egg whites are flavourless so it didn't bother me the thought of drinking them and this shake simply tastes of a lovely sweet chocolate shake. Even in water it was pleasant and refreshing. I'm so grateful MP have developed this product. I never write reviews but this is a breakthrough for me. I need the added protein to recover from surgery and build strength back up to commence endurance running again. This will be perfect for after long runs to aid recovery and just generally to boost my protein intake. I don't understand the reviews saying it didn't mix well or tastes horrible as I've mixed with both water and plant based milks and never had a problem and again egg whites are pretty much flavourless. This will also make an ideal addition to a protein pancake recipe. Please don't ever discontinue this product!Goes Well With:Water, dairy free milk alternatives, oats.
Ive stupidly bought 2.5kg of this stuff and I am immediately regretting it after mixing up my first batch... I add raw eggs to my blended drinks on a regular basis and I'm quite happy with the taste, hence the lack of hesitation when buying it... however.... the taste of this stuff is just another level of awfulness... I've attempted to mix it with in my usual way.. milk, frozen fruit, peanut buttee, yogurt... It's done nothing at all to disguise the taste!! I'd be well against recommending this product to anybody, do yourself a favour and pay a bit extra for a regular whey!!!Goes Well With:Nothing...
The best I have tried, best value, best mix, best taste when I add a small bit of chocolate protein powder to it just to add a bit of sweetness and it goes down a treat :) I prefer using egg white as I think it is better for me :)Goes Well With:a small bit of chocolate protein powder
Great idea but terrible to mix and really doesn't taste great. Tried it but have returned to whey protein mix for now. Would love to try again but the chef needs to have a look at the recipe I'm afraid. Goes Well With:Sand/cement.
This is VERY VERY hard to mix properly. It's a massive pain and if you're in a rush there will be glumps. It also foams.
Great product and service-5 startsGoes Well With:I use it for protein in my diet, great to make home made lean-protein shakes with 100%coco and peanut butter.
Great way to get your protein Goes Well With:Vanilla drops
Bought this as a change to whey protein. So far I just mix one scoop with two times warm water and add it to two scrambled eggs for breakfast it solidifies to make a nice scramble.Goes Well With:Eggs, sauerkraut, chillies, tomatoes.
This is good dairy free stuff for building muscle! Why do people keep saying in their reviews: ' I got the unflavoured version' ? That's the ONLY version!
Gave me really bad wind!!!Goes Well With:No friends
The egg white powder doesnt mix well with water alone. But if you mix it with 10-20 grams of blended oats it becomes perfect. No foam or anything. The taste however is horrible. But the MP flavor drops og flavor powder makes it taste pretty good. It you are bulking and using it as a PWO shake you can even add a little dextrose which makes it taste like milkshake. As long as you combine the egg white powder with something else before adding water you should be fine. been using it for 3 years now due to milk protein allergies and Im very happy with it. Regarding the price you can even get it close to the same price as WHEY if you buy when MP are giving discount codes.. Goes Well With:MP flavoring Instant oates
Overall a quality product. I wanted to give my body a variety of proteins and this seemed to tick the box in terms of price and the amount of protein per scoop. I have the unflavored version so I add it my other protein / pre workout shakes. Alternatively, you can add a scoop of my protein peanut butter. In terms of mixability, the product mixes well and without any foaming at the top (i do however use a blender rather than a shaker). In terms of impact on my performance or physique - a little early to say. However early signs are good.Goes Well With:Peanut Butter, Milk or another flavored whey protein.
This is for me as good as any egg white powder can be. It does the job when one is trying to get the required amount of protein to stimulate muscle growth when weight training. It's a great alternative to the popular whey protein, which I simply am unable to tolerate as it causes me upset stomach and restless legs. None of the high street bodybuilding/health shops seem to stock egg white protein at all in the 2 towns near me. I find it mixes easily with a whisk or shaker. So many people expect this stuff to taste great, but it simply doesn't. Saying that I find it not unpleasant at all and rather neutral in flavour which is fine. I wonder if it might make a good meringue?? !Goes Well With:Just mix with water!
the mixability of this is awful. I got the unflavored egg white and the taste is kinda bad. cant drink this by itself needs to be mixed with other protein shakes or my morning protein smoothie. wont be buying again but its a good source of protein so it helped me out in the weight room. Goes Well With:frozen berries + chocolate protein shakes
Mixes well with whey to make pancakes and mug cakes, really good product- am on my second bag!! Also makes a good omelette Goes Well With:Whey protein
Mixes really well, it does have a taste to it but to be fair it doesn't really taste to bad. Goes Well With:Water
I've been using this for about a year now and it does the job. The smell is a bit strange at first but you get use to it and for the flavour just add a few flavdrops (I use strawberry or toffee) and it tastes fine then ! Mixability & texture wise it's good, there's always about the same volume of foam produced on top of the liquid after shaking but overall it's a really good product ! Goes Well With:Smoothies and flavdrops
