My protein supplements are pure vegetarian except some supplements.Vegetarian sources of proteins include legumes, nuts, seeds and fruits. Legumes, some of which are called pulses in certain parts of the world, have higher concentrations of amino acids and are more complete sources of protein than whole grains and cereals. Examples of vegetarian foods with protein concentrations greater than seven percent include soybeans, lentils, kidney beans, white beans, mung beans, chickpeas, cowpeas, lima beans, pigeon peas, lupines, wing beans, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, walnuts, cotton seeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds. I love dark chocolate and this one really smells a real cocoa but it's too bitter that why I mix 3 tiny scoop ( included in the packet ) with hydrolised collagen peptide protien Goes Well With:Hydrolised collagen peptide protien
This light brown powder dissolves reasonably well in water, and turns in brown. It tastes like a strong cocoa powder. I tried some neat on my tongue but other than that I have only had 1-2 mini scoops in a chocolate protein shake, and I can't taste it in that. I've waited to have it a few times before reviewing so I can be reasonably sure of any effects. So far I have only used it in my post gym shake, early afternoon at work. In this context I'm delighted with it. I find that it gives me a gentle sustained stimulation, more focus than the aimless stimulation of caffeine or coffee. It's perfect for work. I don't drink coffee very often and I avoid pre workout products stuffed with caffeine. If you use these things regularly, you'd probably hardly notice the stimulating effect of chocamine, but hopefully you'd still get the good natured focused feeling.Goes Well With:Chocolate shakes, green tea extract powder
Excellent. I teach a high impact, high energy, full on kick boxing class. I teach it 8 times a week. With Chocomine and a little tyrosine - I fly. Taste absolutely disgusting but worth it
Working a Night shift as a Nurse is hard. The biggest problem I have is staying awake and I was getting sick of drinking the rubbish coffee we have. I thought I would give this Chocamine® Plus a try as an alternative. I got half way through my shift and decided to add two small scoops of chocomine to my impact whey protein shake. About half an hour later, I felt generally in a better mood and nice and alert to stay awake for the rest of my shift. I quite like this product as it gives me the edge I need to fulfill my duties. The only downside is that I think it's a bit on the expensive side.Goes Well With:Impact whey Protein PVL, Mutant Mass.
I used to take 200mg ProPlus at morning and afternoon. Just 500mg Chocamine Plus in the morning and my head feels clear all day. No sluggish 'come-down' like with plain caffeine either. Despite 40mg caffeine in every 500mg Chocamine Plus, it doesn't feel the same at all. I also wonder if the large dose of antioxidants actually has a 'feel-good' quality and brightens your mood. Also I'd love to know the PEA content and Theobromine content, both of which are also stimulants. Just a wait now to see if my tolerance builds. It tastes like what you'd expect to taste - strong tasting powdery cocoa. It's worth getting some large 00 capsules.
"I added this to my shake (impact whey, leucine and chocolate flavour) and it gave me that extra hit that my shake was missing. I couldn't really taste the bitterness everyone else is going on about. It smells good and tastes good in my opinion. Also i didn't find myself craving for junk as much after i had it on an empty stomach. I bought something sweet out of habit, but i didnt really want it and felt a bit crappy after it. It helps keep you fuller for longer. i havent been on it for long so i dont know if the effects are continuous over the course of use."
"Ive been taking Chocamine in the morning with a protein shake, and it really gives you a boost, wakes me up, gives me more focus down gym (i workout 1st thing) and i feel thinner! only downside is the extreme bitterness of the powder, even with a protein shake with sweetener or honey added, you still get a bitter aftertaste, so im going to turn them into capsules from now on. will report back soon to update!"
"Yeah, i too have been using this stuff for a couple of weeks now, is more of a mild stimulant but again you do notice something particularly on an empty stomach. Am introducing it now with my pre workout mix to see if i get any of the benefits the other review mentioned. Will keep you posted, but all in all its good value. Its hard to pinpoint my fat loss an an individual product as i am using a mix of fat burners on a daily basis but all i can say is its contributing towards my fat loss goals."
"OK, I’ve used this stuff a few times now, and I love it! First thing is when you open the packet you get a wonderful aroma of fresh cocoa. Unfortunately, when you add it to coffee or hot milk, the taste isn’t as great as the smell – quite bitter, but no more than Green and Blacks cocoa powder, so perfectly acceptable. After about 30 mins (if taken on an empty gut), you start getting that ‘switched on’ feeling in the head, and my body temperature went up a bit. The feeling was good – alert and energetic, but not totally wired and jittery like caffeine. Concentration was good, and pre-workout it allowed me to use shorter rest intervals because despite fatigue my mind was clear. The effect was still with me after about 90 minutes, but soon wore off afterwards. If you read David Tolsen’s article on the stuff you can see it is packed full of funky nutrients and amino’s that are good for you and very antioxidant. A quick warning for those on anti-depressants: This stuff contains a few amino acids like tyramine that act as MAO Inhibitors, so be careful that this stuff does not have any adverse effects with your medication."
