Doesn't mix at all, terrible taste, lose most of it in the shakers. Worst product I've ever usedGoes Well With:Nothing
I am a medical student and prior to this I have a Bsc in Biochemistry. I can say that I'm very disappointed in this product. My mistake was that I didn't research the amino acid profile ( which is the most important thing in supplements) Put taste and mix ability aside, that's more subjective and opinionated. I'm talking about the effectiveness and quality of this product. It only has 18 grams of Essential amino acids compared to impact whey having approx. 45grams. Also carnipro only has 9g of BCAAs per 100 grams compared to impact whey having 23g of BCAAs per 100 grams. This product it pretty much amino spiked and won't do much. Can't expect much with this. It gave me diarrhoea, all in all a very bad choice and wont be buying again. Stick with the impact whey guys. Best stuff on the market.
Was recommended this product by my PT. I've had 5 bowel surgeries and have problems with scarring that blocks remaining bowel quite easily if I eat fibrous foods. Therefore over the years my diet has been to carb heavy. I've just started my gym regime to increase fitness. I read the reviews and decided to make my own mind up as they were varying! TBH I love this product, as long as I don't dwell on what's it's made from! Tastes great but then the amount of liquid diets the hospital has put me in over the years( now they taste bad!) it's been easy to use this product to add more protein in my diet. Almost a month into it, I'm noticing more strength, muscle starting slowly to replace fat! I've got a long way to go but I'm sticking with it. Goes Well With:Water, coconut water, milk, almond milk (unsweetened), add ripe pear in. I've added it to protein pancake recipe very yummy.
I am very pleased with this product, I got the vanilla one and its absolutely well nice. Goes Well With:mixed in porridge
After reading the other reviews I was a bit appreciative about this - but, I've been mixing it with almond/coconut milk in a blender and it's been fine. I've also added fruit to the vanilla as it's not the best on its own (I have the chocolate too, but haven't tried it yet). The only time I had trouble with it was when I tried to make two at the same time - the powder does go claggy if it's not mixed straight away. Goes Well With:Frozen fruit, fresh fruit, peanut butter
This was sitting around for about half a year before I started using it, at first i couldnt get it to blend properly when using stated measurements, I found that when you use 20g to about 350/400ml of water it actually begins to mix decently however it does foam a lot. You're best off buying the Diet whey or impact protein, the rocky road is absolutely gorgeous and mixes wellGoes Well With:a ball shaker
I brought this product as I can't stand milk, I originally mixed it with juice however the mix would never be 100%, and I get getting chucks that didn't feel right. Felt like swallowing a slug. I was having a moan to the wife one evening about not mixing properly. She disappeared for a few minutes, coming back in with a perfectly mixed shake, having mixed it with some juice & fresh fruit, she whipped it in the blender, within seconds I had a prefect drink with no chucks at all. I have now been doing this for weeks, mixing with fresh fruit either some juice, or half of a smooth drink. It goes down really smooth, no mess left nothing clogging up the sink. If you are having a problem with mixing, I would really recommend a blender. I train 4 days out of seven, spending around two hours at a time on weights, I really do feel the benefit of this protein.Goes Well With:Fresh Fruit, juice, smoothy
nice flavour and mixes well, just abit sticky and thick but overall good product and good price.
I don't see why this is getting so many bad reviews regarding taste. I had been using Arnold iron mass (Chocolate) and I loved the taste. I bought this as a replacement as I couldn't justify the cost of the iron mass. I use this with oats and peanut butter and the only thing you can taste is the peanut butter. It smells like chocolate and when drinking on its own it tastes like chocolate. I love this stuff.Goes Well With:Instant oats, Peanut butter
Firstly I got the choclote flavour and it is great. It taste way better than whey.Mixability fair enough its not good for a shaker but I use a nutribullet and is great. Its a great way to get more protein in diet. This is a great tasting product. If you are allergic to whey you cant go wrong.Goes Well With:Glutamine BCAA
Positives first, I had no trouble blending this and it makes a nice creamy and very filling shake. Sadly it's let down by the awful, chemical flavour, nasty smell and stone aftertaste. Next time I think I would go for unflavoured and just add some fruit when blending. Goes Well With:I blend it with oats and spinach and it makes a filling, well balanced meal replacement.
This really isn't as bad as a lot of the reviews make out. I think the issue is you can't expect to use it as you would a whey product. This is a very crude analogy - but think of it like comparing mixing milk and water and ground beef and water - one mixes instantly, the other will.....eventually. So my advice is - for your morning breakfast shake, mix one scoop with about 150-200ml of water in your shaker the night before. Give it a good shake and then stick it in the fridge. In the morning you will find it has turned into a thick goop a bit like wallpaper paste. Don't panic. Now add 150ml of either water, milk or fruit juice (I get the strawberry flavour and all 3 options make nice shakes) and give it a good shake. Now leave it for a few minutes (go have your shower or make your breakfast) but generally you want to let it warm up a little as this seems to helps thin it down. Finally, give it a good shake again and now you should have a milkshake sort of consistency, nice and smooth, and tastes good. For your afternoon/evening shake, again, make the initial mix a few hours before and let it rest in the fridge. Then take it out and add more liquid and let it get a little warmer (still cold, just not right out of the fridge cold) before drinking. Hope this helps
Throughout the 10+ years I have been involved within the Health & Fitness Industry, I have tried an untold amount of different protein shakes/supplements. And to be honest, out of the all the brands I have tried this really stands out! The pricing and the quality are just un-matched. The cinnamon danish flavour is great if you mix it with porridge!! But if I'm going to be honest, it gets a little sickly when drinking it. Sometimes its just safe to stick with what you know, i.e. Chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla! **Combine Discount Code - ROBERT R1AY to receive a total of 50% off all products!!**
I bought this because it has has such great nutrition values but I was slapped in the face when I first tried it out. The texture and viscosity was just vile. I'd have to use a blender to mix the powder properly wvery time I tried it. I've still got over 3/4 of the pack left from when i bought it in june last year. Since then I've gone through countless bags of other protein but in specific to myproteim I'd suggest the impact whey and rocky road is superb.Goes Well With:Shit
Bought this for my wife as she had a milk intolerance and she was happy it had no milk products! Upon trying it she said it tastes good but it doesn't mix great, she made the amount it says on the packet and it had lumps. Only way she found to avoid lumps was to blend double the amount it says Goes Well With:Milk?
Hi, I tried CarniPro because I am sensible to Lactose... Is recommended to them. It was a total disappointing experience, it taste like Cat food smells (vanilla flavor), it doesn't melt in water nor in milk (lactose free). The half of it stays solid and is trowed out.Goes Well With:garbidge
I was a little weary buying this after reading the mixed reviews but am so glad I did. Mixes really well, although does take a little longer than whey protein mixes. My method was to add one scoop into a shaker with 100ml of water shake it well and then gradually added more water and keep shaking it. Let it sit for 20 minutes then add a further 100ml of water, give it another good shake and enjoy!. It came out really light and frothy (bit like a milkshake) The Choc flavor is actually very nice, not a rich choc flavor but certainly not distasteful! Goes Well With:water
To make this short as posible I'll just say this is the worst protein I ever had. I went for carnipro because I stoped consuming dairy so that included whey protein as well. I hoped that beef protein means it comes from animal meat but after doing my research (unfortunately after buying 5kg of carnipro) I realized it comes from cows remains like bones, ears, blood etc. Disgusting. After finding BCAA and EAA content are over 50% lower than in whey protein I was shocked. Everything would be somewhat ok at least to say but man I dont where to start on actual drinking experience. Mixability ZERO it is like chewing gum I never seen something like this u can not mix this protein without blender even then its 50% gumlike chunk. One scoop of carnipro with 250ml water will become 600ml of FOAM that you must drink with disgust for at least 15min. Smell and taste awful. I have no words how disapointed I am in this company after this.
Today I tryed it first time, and I can say this protein has the worst mixability ever. Do not think buying this protein if you don't own blender. The after taste isn't good but better than some soy or pea proteins.
I tried this because I fancied a change from whey. What a mistake that was. The first time I used it I used milk and it was like cement. I ended up drinking almost a pint of milk with it. I then tried it with coconut milk with similar results so went with old fashioned water. With a single serving I'm still nearly filling my bottle to thin it out. It mixes terrible. To put it into context I use 2 scoops of total protein with my bottle (half full) of milk and that is fine, 1 scoop of this and a full bottle of water just does it enough to make it drinkable. The taste isn't bad at all but I make thinner porridge!!! AvoidGoes Well With:Bricklayers
