For the mixability 'problems' I never even noticed it because I usually always blend it either with icecubes and/ or fruit/frozen fruit and water, ofcource this is due to habit because that's already how I preferred my whey shake. But use either with a stick blender or blender Ive never had any problems. Now where this beef protein excelle, is that it becomes deliciously thick and creamy when blended with ice or frozen fruit almost like an ice cream - or budding like consistency.Which I personally love and it becomes thick enough to be eaten with a spoon.I suppose one could add more water if one would prefer to drink it - and now, to me ,honestly whey is boring compared to this even blended up in the same way it just doesn't become as 'creamy' and soft. I have experience with another brand of beef isolate protein and they don't have vanilla flavor ( however I was inclined to buy theirs as they apparently source their protein from cows that are grass fed, it almost couldnt be better, As close to organic sourced IMO.and about same price as MYP ) But tried a few their flavors, and while they where quite good tasting and had the same creamy and thickening effect when blended out with ice, I very quickly grew tired of the flavor and longed for the vanilla from myprotein. Tip to USE WITH OUT a blender : ( shaker cup needed though) If you don't have blender readily available, e.g. after training, at work or out and about, (and your can't or won't blend it out before hand, and bring it with you like that 😜) I have found that it is possible in a shaker cup just vastly different and quite 'obnoxious' to mix, first off use preferebly a shaker cup with a net in the top opposed to one with the 'blender ball'. And then start with about only an inch of water ( or 2 depending on how small your shaker is and how much powder you desire to use. E.g. If the shaker is very slim/narrow or if you desire to shake out 2 scoops of powder at the time, go for about 2 inches of water) in shaker, then add the powder and ( close shaker tightly) shake vigorously for about 30 sec-1 min then add a bit more water and shake thoroughly again and let it sit 2-5 min, shake again and add maybe a bit more water 'to taste and consistency' but usually this takes care of any 'uncomfortable lumps'.Goes Well With:Water, Icecubes, frozen fruit, immersion/ stick blender or blender -
Good taste but really impossible to mix with anything...I m trying with hot water as well but nothing...and doesn't melting never... It's a shame because the product is good... Please resolve this issue
It's a good protein for those that can't drink protein from milk. The taste is bad, usually I use protein unflavoured and I give the flavour with organic cocoa. With this protein it doesn't work The mixability is terrible, worst I ever tried. I hope a new version of this protein with better mixability.
The suggested use for this is totally wrong. It's impossible to mix this in a shaker - it just foams and clumps. Imagine a cloudy pint of beer with a head bigger than the drink itself and clumps of powder floating in it. Oh and the vanilla flavor smells like banana. Why is being lactose/dairy free so hard!Goes Well With:Pond water
All the plebs complaining about mixablility or taste just need to put it in a smoothie. Taste is sweet, absorbability is good, and doesn't give you sprinkler farts like whey does
Awful product. If 0 was an option then is the rating. Awful taste, super stickiness, no effectiveness. Diahrrea and stomach pain. Don't ruin yourself. Think smart.Goes Well With:Nothing.
Product: Carnipro chocolate flavour (1kg) Dairy intolerant looking for an alternative to whey, I have tried other brand vegan proteins and have not found a good one that mixes well with water. First try of Carnipro was with water. I couldn't finish it due to the salty taste and the lumpiness. Mixes okay with Almond milk and is slightly less salty, not close to being as good as the impact whey protein sadly. Works okay in overnight oats. Overall, not sure ill re-order, needs work on the taste and texture side, not sure I want actually taste meat when drinking a sweet drink on a daily basis, even if its for nutrition purposes.Goes Well With:Almond milk (definitely order a sample to try first!) or overnight oats
Good product, effective, easy to digest, tasty. The only problem is that it does not fully mix with the water, there is always quite a few particules who left in the shaker. I recommend to ad more protein when you're taking it to make sure you got enough quantity.
Let's start wit taste, bought strawberry flavour because in the past all proteins i used from other brands with strawberry flavour tasted so nice but this one is complete let down it tastes so chemical and sooooo sweet, one star just because there isn't an option for less. Mixability, terrible once again worst mixability in my experience, when i mix it with water it makes so much bubbles i am really thinking to make a bubble bath with this protein! Luckily i bought just 1kg pouch, will never buy this protein again!Goes Well With:Nothing
The product is almost impossible to mixer and the flavor.. oh the flavor is terrible. I've bought the vanila one.Goes Well With:nothing
Bad taste, and even worse dissolution. After 10 years of active sporting, this is the worst quality protein i ever came across. It has nothing to do with chocolate taste, and it gets very foamy. Forget your shaker, half of the portion simply sticks to the walls, and it's very irritating to clean everything afterwards. This company is obviously not an expert in making proper beef protein, or maybe they're using cheap stuff, but keep one thing in mind... You should avoid this product at all costs!
People have been saying that it has a meaty after taste, i did not find this the case, it tastes good. For a protein shake. It mixes well, i put some water in first and then the powder then shake and add a bit more water. After whey protein i always felt bloated, after using Carnipro i don't feel bloated. I always feel better after this.
It's impossible to mix , unless you remember to prepare it with at least half an hour before the you intend to consume it Goes Well With:Nothing
Pleasantly surprised with this, haven't had any issues with mixability as I always use it in my nutribullet with water and ice if I just want a shake, or with frozen bananas and avocado if I want a dessert. I use the chocolate version and add in extra BCAA's to compensate for the lower value. Was originally using Soy Isolate protein as I'm allergic to dairy, but taste and texture of carnipro is way way better, would definitely recommend for those who have dairy allergies or intolerances to use instead of soy if you're not vegan or vegetarian. There is a slight aftertaste, but wouldn't say it's overly beefy. Goes Well With:Water/coconut milk/gluten free pat milk & ice for shakes with added BCAAS. 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 avocado and ice for dessert Blended with coyo for dessert Overnight proats
Possibly the worst thing I have ever drunk. Doesn't mix at all, just separated from milk or water. Clogged up the shaker with all the lumps therefore wasting most of it. Tastes awful like drinking cold lumpy gravy. Nearly threw up first time I used it. Complete waste of money and will never use it again. Really disappointed as all my other MP products have been such good quality. Can I have my money back?Goes Well With:Roast Dinner!
Both the taste and texture of this product make it super hard to drink. Never have I thought a protein product can be this bad, let me elaborate (I have the vanilla flavour). The smell: it's not meaty as some reviews say, it's bony-cartilagy carcass smell, holding my nose while drinking helps some. Additionally, it is so thick, so creamy and foamy, that I have trouble swallowing it. You can't just down this in 2 seconds like other bad tasting products, it takes time... Then it's so hard to wash clean the shaker, even Fairy has trouble removing this goo. However, this is a beef protein that costs less than most vegan powders.. What did I expect? (Also, I seriously hope I will get used to it after a few more weeks of use)Goes Well With:Stuffy nose
Is very good for a non-dairy protein but doesn't mix 100%. Little pieces will still be in the mix and that's not good. Taste is okay, you can taste the meat in the aftertaste. A lot of foam will come after mixing with water. But I recommend this for people who can't eat dairy. Please fix these problems and it will be a Super product!
Just got this beef protein and it's the best vanilla beef protein I've had to date. The issues other people mention are typical issues with all beef proteins - they do froth and are difficult to mix etc but as beef proteins go this is really good. I haven't used it as a shake yet but I'm impressed with the flavour when mixed with oats (best to mix in at the end of cooking the oats). Will definitely buy again. Goes Well With:Oats
I've been using this for nearly 3 years, I don't eat dairy, grains or legumes so this was a great protein for me, however the last bag I had caused me some serious stomach issues (think explosive bathroom incidents multiple times a day) so I can no longer use it. I was really hoping it was something else as this was a perfect fit for my dietary needs and comes in an unflavoured version without nasty sweeteners, but unfortunately after removing all other variables the issues still occured. Maybe it's just a bad batch?
Doesn't mix at all, terrible taste, lose most of it in the shakers. Worst product I've ever usedGoes Well With:Nothing
