Decent product
4 out of 5 stars
I have been taking MP calcium caseinate for several weeks now and it has proven itself to be an effective and easy to use supplement. What makes this product quite remarkable is the fact that the powder basically has zero carbohydrates and yet still maintains a decent chocolatey taste. In my opinion I would even go so far as to say the chocolate flavour beats the powders with carbs I have tried in the past. The powder mixes easily into milk and water and, I assume, any liquid with comparable consistency. One general thing I have noticed with powders containing casein is that no matter how well mixed they are, the resulting shake seems to have a slightly gritty texture - but this is something I have seen even in much more expensive products. I have also used the product to boost the protein content of my home made flapjacks and have not noticed any negative impact on their taste or consistency. In terms of effectiveness, I use this product as a source of slow-digesting protein throughout the day and the chocolate flavour really does make this both tasty and easy. On a personal note, I would add that this protein seems to make me feel fuller for longer - especially compared to whey products, which makes sticking to my nutritional plan that little bit easier. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a slow digesting protein that tastes good, has a great nutritional profile, and is real value for money. Goes Well With: Milk / Water / Oats / Smoothies

Clacium Caseinate (Unflavoured)

Used this product before and definitely works, vital for when I have done a huge sesh at the gym then need to sleep 7/8 hours for max growth, this stuff stays in my system well. Sometimes even take another one at 3/4am to keep the process going. The Caseinate definitely contributes to max growth over night. Also mixability-wise I found it fine, unusually it first goes super thick then i come back to it an hour later and it has dropped and thinned out. Perfect for avoiding midnight bloating, which is what Milk Protein Smooth can often do.

Taste a let down
4 out of 5 stars
I train late night/early morning(any time between 23:30 and 5:00) so casein would be an ideal go to protein for me as after completing my workout i go home to bed and rest. I used to get DOMS the next evening but now I've tried it I have to say my recovery is much better and I don't move like an extra from the walking dead series. The only let down for me is the taste, I love vanilla but this shake really lacked much vanilla flavour at all and adding more powder just really made it seriously thick. However I overcame this by adding in a few extra vanilla flavdrops or using up some last bits of chocolate protein mixed in.. I would happily give this five stars if it had more flavour, I shall try more flavours and leave another comment once tested.
