The pancakes came out perfectly every time, very easy to make but they were far too sweet for me and i have a sweet tooth.
write well these pancakes taste awful to me but maybe because i havent tried protein pancakes before however they are very effective and get the job done and work great as a light snack or to get your protein in.Goes Well With:pancake syrup
On their own they're kind of rubbery, however, I added 30 g of greek yoghurt to the mix, and they are moist and delicious.
I am addicted to these pancakes. I am using the chocolate flavour at the moment and have also purchased the golden syrup one which I am looking forward to try! So easy to make . Really good value for money. Goes Well With:Myprotein Crunchy Peanut Butter
Good product for its value. Got maple syrup flavour taste sweet but not that nice. Good to mix up instead of having a shake. Will try another flavour next time
Everyone says it's really good... Light and fluffy... No! I eat pancakes all the time, I made a stack of 4 small pancakes useing this mix, they smelt amazing! (Golden syrup). But I took a bite and almost choked! They were so chewie and hard! I don't know if I over cooked them or did something wrong but I couldn't even finish them! Like I said I make pancakes all the time so I'm sure I didn't over cook them... But I will try again with them the will have to see what happens!
Easy to make, easy to cook and tastes really good.Goes Well With:Eggs and bacon
This protein powder makes the best lazy protein cake - mix 2 scoops with around 150ml of water and throw it in the microwave for around 1.5 min (stir a couple times in between) It doesnt taste as sweet as when fried and the texture is amazing.Goes Well With:water
I love these plain with the My Protein Butterscotch Syrup or add in some chocolate protein or Danish Cinnamon protein... Yummm!!! I prefer to mix it with a small bit of hot water first so it won't clump! Goes Well With:My protein butterscotch syrup My protein Chocolate whey Protein My protein cinnamon whey protein
I've had the plain 1 before and usually put cinnamon in the mix to give it some taste. After trying this 1 I won't be going back! This is the best tasting pancake mix I've had!Goes Well With:Peanut butter! (What doesn't go well with peanut butter?) lather the pancake with peanut butter and it tastes amazing
Pancakes tasted amazing!!! Satisfied my sweet tooth so well now addicted to the stuff!!Goes Well With:It tastes amazing with MySyrup and peanut butter. It tastes really good with a protein cookie crumbled over the top of it too
Pleasantly surprised. Ordered these on a whim to try them out and they're pretty good. Fairly filling with some decent nutritional stats so might use them as a snack when craving something sweet. One thing to note is that the maple syrup flavour is a bit artificial tasting so think I'll go for the plain ones and add my own flavour next time.
I bought the plain mix, easy to make the mixture, fried well and puffed up like American pancakes. The taste however is quite bland and very egg heavy. Almost too must soGoes Well With:Syrup, chocolate sauce
Fabulous for breakfast or dessertGoes Well With:A table spoon of Yeo valley yogurt, bramble jelly and wholemeal peanut butter
I have tried pretty much every kind of protein/low carb pancake recipe there is out there (mainly Pinterest!) and not one of them hasn't made me gag - complete waste of protein and efforts! Having a sweet tooth, I loved the idea of having guilt free pancakes - then I found these! Obviously they will never be like the usual carb-filled stodgy yummyness- but they are good enough! 2 scoops of this with 125ml water cooked in fry light - perfecto! The golden syrup are fairly sweet but I still drizzled mine with zero sugar butterscotch syrup and a handful of almonds :) would also be nice with peanut butter or Greek yoghurt! Yummy and guilt free - winner!!! :DGoes Well With:Zero sugar syrup (my protein) Honey Nut butters Greek yoghurt Fruit/dried fruit Nuts
So much better than the protein pancakes I was making myself. Light and fluffy.Goes Well With:Blueberries, 0% fat yogurt, 0 sugar MP syrup.
I am keto and needed my pancake fix after my daily workouts.. the protein pancake mix is perfect and only 11g carbs per 100ml woohoo! Goes Well With:I have mine with raspberries, almonds and of course crunchy peanut butter YUM
Absolutely fantastic taste, no need to mix anything else with it. Extremely impressed with the mix, will buy again.Goes Well With:Everything
I thot this would be a shambles as me making pancakes doesnt go 2 well. So easy. 2 large scoops mix with 150ml of almond milk or whatever milk you like or water and bobs your uncle!! I made one large pancake out of it rather than several smaller ones. I chose maple syrup flavour and the taste was perfect. Highly recommend. Great source of protein for all the little calories involved.
The Protein Pancakes are fantastic. They taste great and so easy to make. They can be made really quickly and can be used as a breakfast, dessert or a snack. I'm glad I bought them and will definately get them again.Goes Well With:I have mine with Greek yogurt and mixed berries but you can have them with anything. They even taste great by themself.
Tried the golden syrup flavor and OH MY! Absolute heaven! Usually not a fan of protein mixes unless it was whey powder only, and i also make my own protein pancakes but this mixture is just perfect. Can't wait to mix it with eggs and make the promlette recipe that i found on this site. Will definitely be getting more. It also literally takes minutes to make which saves tons of time on a busy day, not to mention the macros too. Weigh your scoops though cause two scoops weigh about 60g and not 50.
Great for breakfast, lunch or even just a snack and tastes really good!Goes Well With:Fruit or the my protein branded syrup
Amazing tasting pancakes packed full of protein. Always turn out so thick and fluffy. 100% would recommend Goes Well With:My syrup, some butter or they go great with Nutella and strawberries on a little cheat day!
Bought this as a quick meal fix for the whole day. Well if you're good at making pancakes then great It's messy and just sticks to the pan don't to user error mostly. Taste ok and a good source of protein when get the mix right. Well worth the buy if you can get the pancake mix right and cooked! I'm sticking to protein whey mix no mess with cooking.
Great guilt free breakfast or snack. Mixes well, quite thick so done does get stuck in shakers and wastes, can be solved with a spatchula. Goes Well With:Golden syrup, mixed with milk. Grilled turkey bacon. Poached eggs. Healthiest alternative to a fry up you'll get.
First time review even though I have been a customer for many years. I was getting a little tired of the usual 5 egg omelette for breakfast (4 egg whites + 1 whole). This makes a good alternative and is very easy to use. I have crepe maker which is basically just a hot plate so it is very easy to blend the mix and pour straight on to the hot plate. Few minutes and flip, it does not get much easier in the morning. Spread of organic peanut butter (thin) gives it a bit of a change too. Roll it up and eat it like you would a tortilla.Goes Well With:Organic Peanut Butter
Have been buying this pancake mix for a while now, makes great tasty and filling pancakes, crepe or American style, and recently I have discovered you can make Yorkshire puddings with it too! Amazing!! Definitely recommend this product.Goes Well With:Blueberries and almond butter
This review specifically refers to the maple syrup flavour pancake mix. The maple syrup flavouring didn't taste anything like maple syrup (which I love) but very strongly of artificial sweeteners. In order to actually make the pancakes palatable I drowned them in strawberry jam which obviously made them bit carb heavy. I tried the unflavoured ones (3*) too and while the flavour was ok they had the same slightly rubbery texture of the maple syrup ones. In future I'll just stick with real pancakes as a cheat meal once a week and keep using MyProtein's shakes for protein supplements!
This is the forst time I have ordered the pancake mix, I ordered the Golden Syruo flavour and have to say it is a little on the sweet side. Other than that they tatse good, but I think next time I will order the plain flavour and add my own sweetner such as honey or syrup.
I got the unflavoured pancakes with the sugar free maple syrup. I really don't like them. They are completely flavourless and a chewey texture. Not for me I'm afraid
These pancakes are so tasty! I tried the maple syrup one and agree with other reviews that they are very sweet and didn't require any toppings. They are incredibly filling which is great! Will define purchase again!
Great taste, easy to make, and is certainly helping my dietary intake. This has been the easiest add in to my daily routine. It doesn't take long at all and like I said tastes great. Once I've ran out of the chocolate I'm going to try another flavour. I wont lie a little Nutella on it has cured my sweet tooth! Well done Myprotein certainly a winnerGoes Well With:Nuttella
Tastes amazing and so easy to make, I use 1 and a half scoops with 150ml of Milk and they're perfect, Good source of protein and extra calories great for breakfast Goes Well With:Fruit
I wasn't sure about these before buying as I'm not usually keen on the taste of protein shakes etc. But I was very pleasantly surprised, they taste great and are very filling and easy to make! Goes Well With:Inhale them with peanut butter and strawberries
If not the best tasting pancakes i have ever put into my mouth... What I love is that the taste of golden syrup is so strong, that you don't even need to add any honeys or spreads to it! I don't think it was the blends fault, but for some reason the pancakes did not want to be circle on my pan (most likely my fault), but no matter what shape or size, I cant wait to make more tomorrow! Goes Well With:Milk, Water, By themselves
A great product. Just mix and make! This product is totally flavourless so add some vanilla essence and cinnamon powder to it to give it an edge Goes Well With:Sugar free maple syrup and fresh strawberries.
Chocolate flavour. Mixed with milk and started promising, the batter smelled and tasted lovely. Once cooked they tasted horrible with the texture of a sponge (the washing up kind). honestly difficult to eat.Goes Well With:Banana made it more bearable
I have tried to make protein pancakes at home using online recipes and they are disgusting however when I saw these on my-protein I had to buy it. You are never going to get close to the real deal pancake but this for me is like a treat they taste great with peanut butter or on there own I buy the golden syrup flavour I have a sweet tooth and this gets rid of it the macros are amazing and even though it makes me feel naughty eating it it's not after adding peanut butter and soy milk it gives me 44grams of protein for breakfast limited carbs and fat! Well done myprotein this is a winner with me. Best protein pancake recipe / mix out there and so easy to use! I use 2 scoops (50g weighed out) with milk and I mix it in my blender so there is no lumpy bits :) Goes Well With:Peanut butter, Greek yougert & berries!
not a nice product at all...sickly sweet....nearly vommitted with my first mouthful.
Ordered the chocolate pancake mix as I wanted an easy protein filled pancake mix alternative. I've got to say I was quite disappointed, when it mixed it came out very thin, I added more powder and it stil came out thin. Once I added it to the pan it almost soufflé'd. It was like a moussey texture and just kept rising. Once I figured they were cooked I took a chance and tried to eat them, in all honesty they are the worst thing I have ever tasted. To me there wasn't even an essence of chocolate in them. I put the texture down to the fact that they were protein filled and probably wouldn't ever come out like usual pancakes do, but the taste seriously needs re-vamping!
Have tried a few protein pancake mixes, none will ever taste QUITE as good as the real thing, but they are certainly one of the better sweet/protein substitutes. I can eat these and feel like I've had a dessert. They're easy to make and also great to cook up then take to work as a sweet snack. Macros are awesome. Will keep buying.
After reading the mixed reviews I was hesitant to buy this. After only buying protein powders in the past I decided I would try a few different products. First of all the instructions are under the ingredients like most other MP products. It states mix 100-150 ml of milk. I did as it said and cooked it like i would any other pancake. It turned out perfect. I got the maple syrup flavour and the taste is great although a little sweet (no need for any toppings) If you need a quick protein snack this is excellent. Will buy a larger pack in the next order.
I actually logged in just to review this - that's how good it is! I mixed 2 scoops up with 150ml of hazelnut alpro milk, put it in my nutribullet for 1 minute and it was perfectly mixed. I made 2 decent sized pancakes with this combination and still have batter left over for another day. One thing is, it is quite sweet (the golden syrup flavour), so try a bit before adding any extra sweet toppings - I had mine just on its own. Already looking in to buying the bigger sized pouch of this - Probably the unflavoured one so I can play around with different toppings. Goes Well With:Good enough on its own.
The packaging doesn't state how to mix! ADDRESS THIS MYPROTEIN!!!! Now that it's down to guess work I mixed 2 scoops in a shaker with 250ml of water. Did not cook at all. Left with a disgusting inedible mess in the pan! Total waste of money! I feel robbed! Tried a spoonful & it was as disgusting as it looked! DO NOT BUY! This is the only myprotein product I've ever faulted! Read some good reviews on it & I don't know how!!!Goes Well With:The garbage!
Amazing, totally addicted to these, I first brought the small mix now I'm on the big boys! :D Goes Well With:Myprotein chocolate syrup
Tried making these this morning - either I'm missing something, or no instructions are on the packet? Anyway, found out how to make them, and I think I'm half a pack down and still haven't figured the perfect combination/cook time etc. However, mixes great, I use my shaker with a ball. Of the couple I salvaged, they are very sweet but pleasant, I have golden syrup flavour however I made smaller ones instead of a large one I've seen others do, and they seem incredibly sickly! I think once I figure the perfect method I'll be buying flavourless ones. Found they taste better with skim milk rather than water Goes Well With:Skim milk
Had the maple syrup flavour. Used 100ml water with 2 scoops, very easy to mix and cook. Not sure if I overcooked mine which didn't look like it but they were a bit dry and chewy hence giving it 4*. I topped it with greek yoghurt for moisture as they were actually quite dry it was like drought in my mouth. Little too sweet as well so next time I will get an unflavoured one. But cannot really complain for the macros. The jaw pain for the effort chewing is definitely worth it. not suitable if you have swallowing problems.Goes Well With:Greek yoghurt
Honestly...not great. I followed the instructions but the taste was vile and the texture wasn't great either. My first bad experience with myprotein, everything else has been great. Goes Well With:Nothing
Made really nice pancakes. The texture isore like a waffle but it certainly hit the spot.Goes Well With:Banana and sugar free syrup
Very easy to mix and make pancakes. Prefer unflavoured so I can add my own flavours. Recommend for a quick high protein meal any time of day. Goes Well With:Fruit and Greek yogurt. And Also as a savoury snack with various vegetables.
