So imagine the scenario you go online and see thousands of recipes for Whey Protein pancakes.. You try and make some but they just don't look right or taste right... And so you come across a ready made version enter myprotein's pancake mix... These things are amazing I've had the golden syrup and maple syrup versions so far and both are fantastic and very filling... they remind me of Dutch Pancakes - and with a drizzle of either the sugar free maple or sherbet lemon syrups is amazing.. Another fantastic product by what I consider to be the best protein company on the market.... One thing could you please do a Cinnamon Swirl version, that would be fantastic.....Goes Well With:Berries , Syrups , Greek yogurt
I cannot recommend these enough. Have been mixing 2 scoops with 125mls of unsweetened soya milk. Here's how I get them perfect. Heat a pan with some oil in to a high heat, then pour the oil into a dish for use later. Then take the temperature down to quite a low heat and put the mix in, don't worry about making a huge pancake, they tend to inflate a lot when they're cooking so just made a circle about the size of a fist. COVER THE PAN to get the top cooking a little so when you flip them mixture doesn't splatter everywhere. Then just repeat using as little oil as possible. About 300kcals and a huge amount of protein, have ordered a 1KG pouch of maple syrup flavour because it tastes incredible and they are totally guilt free! Goes Well With:Blueberries, chopped banana.
Only ever really used whey as a supplement so was unsure how pancakes could work. I use milk with the powder and it mixes very quickly and easily. The texture of the pancakes is more crepe-like and not fluffy. However for 35g of protein, low sugar and low carbs and a great taste it's a fantastic product. I have only used the maple syrup flavour and it's awesome. Goes Well With:Flora
I look forward to these every morning. They are a little dry but taste great so I add the no sugar syrup my protein supply to them to moisten them up. Mixes so well and take a couple of minutes to make. Eating clean can be really boring and tough but I really look forward to these and the skinny protein cookies. I'm a 120lb women and I find the 2 scoop serving is way too much. it fills me to the point my belly want to explode so I use 1 scoop with 70ml milk and its perfect for me. I eat 6 times a day for weight training but if you are eating 3 meals a day the 2 scoop is perfect for you. highly recommendGoes Well With:No Fat Chocolate Syrup
First time trying these so l brought a small pouch just so that l can try them first time l wasted it could not get it right.... Second time yes l have got it.. These pancakes are so beautiful.. I have just ran out and will be ordering a big bag l have them with fruit and l don't feel guilty eating them as l have a sweet tooth.. Nice product... You can add a egg 🍳 Goes Well With:Fruit.. peanut butter.. Blueberries
The pancakes are really good, and super easy to make, even for someone who is usually catastrophic at making them. However I found them to have quite a sweet aftertaste (I got the golden syrup flavour) so next time I would try a different flavour. Otherwise would strongly recommend!
Its all about getting the right mixture with this pancake mix ignore the instructions one scoop and just 100ml of milk is enough for 2 or 1 12" pancake enough for me for breakfast golden syrup tastes great with some frozen cranberries and honey.Goes Well With:cranberries honey maple syrup sliced bannna
The pancake mix is easy to make and tastes lovely. Make your pancake cover with plain Greek yoghurt then fill with raspberries a little syrup fold over and eat. Wonderful.Goes Well With:Fruit. Yoghurt. Jam or make pancakes and fill with cold chicken.
Just tried these for the first time and definitely not my favourite. Taste isn't great but I would disagree with comments saying they taste or have a rubbery texture.
Convenient, but taste like rubber. Not my fave, much rather make my own than use this. I bought as I was going camping so would only get it again in this situation for ease.
I literally love these pancakes so so much !!! I cannot go a day without having them for a meal, they are absolutely delicious. They are so easy to make, I have been able to perfect them as I have had so many !! I like to add about 150-170ml of water to 50g of mix, this makes the perfect pancake. I cook them in a medium pan with some organic coconut oil and then I top then with natural protein yogurt, berries and butterscotch guilt free syrup.....perfect !Goes Well With:Guilt free butterscotch syrup (sugar free) Natural protein yogurt
Mixes well if you add just part of water first. Taste is good, but too much egg powder. Texture like rubber, very hard to chew. I have to add some flower and just protein powder to be able to eat. Goes Well With:Cashew butter
I don't even like pancakes very much but i bought it based on the reviews i read here to add to my breakfast variety. I didn't like it at first (i think i mixed it water) but gave it another chance and i love it !!! My favourite recipe is to mix 1 scoop with 1/2 mashed banana and about 100ml almond/cocconut/hazelnut milk (i just pour it in, i actually never neasured it), mix it all up and pour it onto a frying pan. I sprinkle blueberries on the top and then flip it over ( if it tears maybe too much milk is added) when it kind of starts to bubble. The pan is a bit of a mess with the blueberries bursting all over it but the pancake is delicious. It is tasty even when cold but divine while still hot :-)Goes Well With:mashed banana, blueberries and naughty nutella
Very filling and taste lovely. Great for energy, great way to start the dayGoes Well With:Chocolate syrup
This product saves my life. I love pancakes. It helps me a lot that it's so low carb and high P. Ratio is perfect. I tried the Maple flavor it's pretty good. I mix with just water, a bit more than is suggested, and cook it over a really low heat flame. it turns out soft and fluffy. Goes Well With:PB and MySyrup
I can't make up my mind about this product. Thought it was a great idea but to get nice thin crispy crepes very difficult. Could be me but I have tried lots of ways and all turn out too thick and stodgy! Will keep trying.Goes Well With:Eggs and toast
Great product and so easy and quick to make. Idea for snacks, breakfast -Goes Well With:Fruit, ice cream, yogurt,
I ordered the golden syrup 200g for starters so see what this batter mix tasted like. The pancakes tasted great and needless to say I will be ordering more and trying the other flavours too. You won't be disappointed. Goes Well With:Any type of fruit.
I loved this product. Easy to mix and if you choose the unflavoured one, you can have them sweet or savoury. Will buy more certainly! Good to make either crepes or American pancakes - depending on how much you water it down. Goes Well With:Everything. Sweetened for breakfast or more savoury for lunch.
Really not impressed with this pancake mix! The texture is kind of like a pancake which is good but the taste resembles chemicals or soap. It's so odd. Have tried making it according to the MP instructions, have also tried other people's suggestions on here and have also tried adding chocolate and bananas but nothing gets rid of the taste of the soap!! 4th time making it now but really gunna have to get rid of it. Might try another flavour though...Goes Well With:The bin
Every time I made this no matter how thick or watery I made the batter, there was always a wet soggy middle!Goes Well With:Cinnamon, honey
This product needs a little bit of work. The pancakes stick to the pan very easily and break up often when you try to flip or turn them. The actual end result looks kind of messy (I might be just bad at making pancakes though). The end result does however, have the texture of a high quality pancake and it tastes good...I just found it hard to make the pancakes Goes Well With:protein mocha
The pancake mix was nice but taste more like an omelette than anything else. Was really good with chopped up bananas Goes Well With:Bananas
I made this with a bit of lurpak lightest and with skimmed milk and even without any additional sweet syrup, it tastes sweet and is very appetising... I mix it with the sugar free syrup (butterscotch) it feels so naughty to have it... but theres nothing in it except yummy proteins... oof!! Well done Mr. My protein!! Lucian
Love everything about this pancake mix. No lumps, tastes great straight after cooking, tastes good the next day when I take to work for lunch, prob my fav food product of all! Goes Well With:I have summer fruits and the my protein syrup with mine
This is best made with 1calories spray oil from tesco, served with peanut butter and suger free maple syrup!. Excellent for diabetics..hardly touches the glucose levels, 2 really fill you up..and hardly any fat.. i could eat this 3 times a day!Goes Well With:Peanut butter Suger free maple syrup Made with fat free 1 calories spray oil
So I don't usually review products but this will change in the future. Maple syrup version: This thing tasted more of chemicals than anything else. I could not wait to get the taste out of my mouth. I had to eat something right after and gargle with mouthwash to be okay again. I bought the 1kg foolishly and I know it was a waste of money because it will sit on top my shelf forever.Goes Well With:less chemicals
Really quick easy to make tasty as well very low carb so cute in with my keto diet as well
Sorry but yuk! Tastes far too artificial. Is it necessary to put so much flavouring in?
Was sceptical trying this, although tastes very nice and provides a filling protein substitute, would recommend using a non-stick pan though as burns quite easilyGoes Well With:Bananas and blueberries
Followed instructions. These tasted bland and had a horrid texture. So disappointing.
Nice but mixability could be improved.Goes Well With:Sauces
I would like to say that this is an amazing product. I tried Golden Syrup and it tastes very good. If you just want to chug down then you can do that too. But you will find it way too sweet but when making these into pancakes, they turn to be very good. When I made them for the first time, it was more of a Crepes/Pancakes but they were amazing. It takes a while to get them right but you will find that they are very good breakfast or treat. I just wish that they would make a good description of how to make these into a perfection because sometimes, it is hard to get them right.Goes Well With:black currants, nuts and myprotein syrup.
I got the Golden Syrup pancake mix and this has become part of my morning routine on the weekends. The pancakes taste exactly like Golden Syrup and are a great start to my mornings. 50g of mix + milk = 4 / 5 pancakes that are delicious and ready to eat within 10mins! In my eyes, these taste better than the normal pancake batter from supermarkets (plus without the stickiness from pouring syrup on the pancakes). Recommended to everyone for a great start to their Saturday & Sunday mornings (and every day in the week) or even as a snack. Goes Well With:Oats, chopped bananas and cup of tea :)
made these pancakes following the instructions. Did not mix as well as it could, a little lumpy. A little sticky when frying/ flipping. When eating the pancakes they were chewy, I chucked most of the mix away... Will give them another chance and try again with the rest of the pack.
Althoug the batter seemed a bit runny at first I managed to get perfect big pancakes. The chocolate taste is subtle and mild...really nice with some berry jam (blackcurrant) and greek yoghurt. Great for those who want to start their day with chocolate cake-like breakfast!Goes Well With:Greek yoghurt, blackcurrant jam, peanutbutter, almond butter
Firstly I know how to cook pancakes. They mix great. These were like rubber coated cardboard even when hot. You could roll it up and it bounces back into shape. I accidentally dropped one and it literally bounced like a rubber frizzbie. They are inedible me and my partner tried smearing Nutella on every bit and still couldn't swallow without holding our noses and drinking lots of water. Bought the tasteless one to add our own maple syrup but the smell is nauseating to the point in which we checked the sell by date. Such a waste of money I actailly am very unsatisfied with what I was sold and feel ripped off!
Perfect start of the day if you need that sweeter start. Absolutely love this mixGoes Well With:Any fruits and nuts and whatever you like really
I have the golden syrup ones. I'm on low carb diet, high fat so mix these with full fat cream and water and they are delicious. Doesn't need syrup.
I was very pleased with the size of a portion which was four times the size I expected! filling and very tasty. 100% happy. I've had them for breakfast, dessert and as an evening snack - on different days of course.Goes Well With:Blueberry syrup and suspect any of the syrups available on my protein.
Being a pancake and waffle fan, this did not fulfil my expectations. Pros: taste is good, macros are great, mixes well (add liquid little by little) Cons: once slightly cold it turns into pure rubber. I have tried several protein pancakes mixes, and done homemade, and this is the worse so far. It really turns hard once it gets cold. I couldn't even finish it. won't buy again. Goes Well With:TONS of water otherwise you can't swallow it.
The pancakes came out perfectly every time, very easy to make but they were far too sweet for me and i have a sweet tooth.
On their own they're kind of rubbery, however, I added 30 g of greek yoghurt to the mix, and they are moist and delicious.
I am addicted to these pancakes. I am using the chocolate flavour at the moment and have also purchased the golden syrup one which I am looking forward to try! So easy to make . Really good value for money. Goes Well With:Myprotein Crunchy Peanut Butter
Good product for its value. Got maple syrup flavour taste sweet but not that nice. Good to mix up instead of having a shake. Will try another flavour next time
Everyone says it's really good... Light and fluffy... No! I eat pancakes all the time, I made a stack of 4 small pancakes useing this mix, they smelt amazing! (Golden syrup). But I took a bite and almost choked! They were so chewie and hard! I don't know if I over cooked them or did something wrong but I couldn't even finish them! Like I said I make pancakes all the time so I'm sure I didn't over cook them... But I will try again with them the will have to see what happens!
Easy to make, easy to cook and tastes really good.Goes Well With:Eggs and bacon
This protein powder makes the best lazy protein cake - mix 2 scoops with around 150ml of water and throw it in the microwave for around 1.5 min (stir a couple times in between) It doesnt taste as sweet as when fried and the texture is amazing.Goes Well With:water
I love these plain with the My Protein Butterscotch Syrup or add in some chocolate protein or Danish Cinnamon protein... Yummm!!! I prefer to mix it with a small bit of hot water first so it won't clump! Goes Well With:My protein butterscotch syrup My protein Chocolate whey Protein My protein cinnamon whey protein
I've had the plain 1 before and usually put cinnamon in the mix to give it some taste. After trying this 1 I won't be going back! This is the best tasting pancake mix I've had!Goes Well With:Peanut butter! (What doesn't go well with peanut butter?) lather the pancake with peanut butter and it tastes amazing
