Doesn't mix well and then just sticks to the pan even when using no stick pan Goes Well With:Haven't even managed to eat any
I bought the one in golden syrup and I have to say it tastes horrible. It's easy to make and mix and provides you a huge amount of protein as well but I struggle just to eat the entire portion because it is way too sweet and has a weird aftertaste.
Tried the maple flavour i thought they were really niceGoes Well With:Fresh fruit
I know the main interest isn't and is indeed the protein included. However, I find them disgusting, they are just about edible and more resemble the taste of a yorkshire pudding than a pancake. And i bought chocolate syrup with it which is nasty
Currently enjoying my first breakfast with these pancakes (Maple Syrup) with some sliced banana's. The taste is great and the texture etc is all great. I can see this becoming a regular thing.Goes Well With:Zero calorie maple syrup
i wasn't sure how this pancake mix would taste due to some negative reviews but I was surprised how nice this tasted ! I made mine with water , and they were fluffy and light and tasted good, I had maple syrup flavour , will buy again :)Goes Well With:banana , pecans and coconut syrup
If you find yourself craving pancakes but still want a good source of protein then these are the way to go. The texture and taste takes a while to get used to, as they don't taste like conventional pancakes, however with the right ingredients you can make them taste excellent. Goes Well With:Bananas, MyProtein syrup, peanut butter, strawberries, lemon juice and sugar.
They are eatable, although at first I was questioning that. They done have a normal fluffy texture like normal pancakes. I bought the unflavoured variety, so that I can add what I like to them, to far I have added toffee drops (with crispy bacon on top) which makes that more palatable. I might try and make some banana pancakes with them next... Goes Well With:Bacon... and lots off it
I've been making these about once a week for the last couple of months so I'm at a stage where I think I can make them pretty well and know what to expect. While they look identical to proper pancakes (when you've done them correctly) the taste and texture is another story. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to chow down on one of those thin exercise mats you get at the gym - your prayers have been answered! They are incredibly dry and rubbery so not really an enjoyable eating experience all in all. I use the unflavoured version and eat it with a few tablespoons of maple syrup, which helps, but not enough to make them seem remotely close to the real thing. With that said, the ratio of protein:carbs:fat is fantastic, and they are very filling. The bottom line is that I don't particularly like eating them but the macros are great so I will continue to have once a week if just to make a momentary change from egg whites on toast.Goes Well With:Maple syrup or anything that will add moisture.
These pancakes are seriously my favourite item from Myprotein for 3 reasons: - They're delicious - The nutritional values - No kitchen mess! The portion is also quite generous... I do indulge on full portion but I don't really need to. Top them up with banana and some shredded coconut (mix a tiny bit of cocoa powder in the batter if you're feeling extra Marie Antoinette) and you're good to go! They're so easy to make, it takes literally no time and almost no cleaning up. I bought the maple syrup ones and they were great. Only thing I can't deal with is the smell of the mix (don't ask me why) but as soon as you mix in some milk (I use soy milk) they're brilliant. Definitely ordering more. They're my favourite weekend treat.Goes Well With:Banana, Cocoa, Coconut, Maple Syrup
I'm satisfied with quality of this product, taste was allright but nothing more(I ordered chocolate), it didn't quite tasted as chocolate. I used it to make crepes(which are more thin than pancakes) and noticed it to be bit harder than making normal crepes but overall I'm satisfied and will buy this product again.Goes Well With:Nutella, jam
The pancakes are an amazing alternative to traditional pancakes with 35g of protein per serving. I find it quite hard to stomach the full "serving" though so would cut the mixture in half. The mixture is a good consistency and makes fluffy thick pancakes that taste great. Would definitely recommend.
Just arrived maple syrup flavour, tried it so simple to do and amazing taste, doesn't need anything added.
Great flavour, mixes well with instant oats. Favourite product!! Goes Well With:Instant oats, sugar free syrup.
Can you add fresh egg to it for more protein ?
The pancake mixed well with water in my drinks blender. The smell is great while cooking and the pancakes tasted of maple syrup, sweet but not sickly or synthetic. Once you get the knack of cooking these without sticking they are great. Splash oil in very hot pan, turn heat down, get rid of excess oil then add the pancake batter. I found that a serving filled me up nicely, no additional toppings needed.
Taste good and mixes well.Could do with bigger package 😉
After reading some reviews after we had bought the mix we were a bit wary about how they would taste, how wrong could we be! They tasted lovely on there own and also with a little chocolate spread! We went for the maple syrup mix and made with milk instead of water, give these a try! You'll be pleasantly surprised! :)
These are ok but are sickly sweet and leave a funny after taste in your mouth like fake sugar does sometimes. I probably won't buy again.
I'm French and I'm used to eat pancake. These taste good and are so easy to make. I make them in the weekend and even my girlfriend loves it. Goes Well With:Berries. Sugar free syrup
