Every time I made this no matter how thick or watery I made the batter, there was always a wet soggy middle!Goes Well With:Cinnamon, honey
This product needs a little bit of work. The pancakes stick to the pan very easily and break up often when you try to flip or turn them. The actual end result looks kind of messy (I might be just bad at making pancakes though). The end result does however, have the texture of a high quality pancake and it tastes good...I just found it hard to make the pancakes Goes Well With:protein mocha
The pancake mix was nice but taste more like an omelette than anything else. Was really good with chopped up bananas Goes Well With:Bananas
I made this with a bit of lurpak lightest and with skimmed milk and even without any additional sweet syrup, it tastes sweet and is very appetising... I mix it with the sugar free syrup (butterscotch) it feels so naughty to have it... but theres nothing in it except yummy proteins... oof!! Well done Mr. My protein!! Lucian
Love everything about this pancake mix. No lumps, tastes great straight after cooking, tastes good the next day when I take to work for lunch, prob my fav food product of all! Goes Well With:I have summer fruits and the my protein syrup with mine
This is best made with 1calories spray oil from tesco, served with peanut butter and suger free maple syrup!. Excellent for diabetics..hardly touches the glucose levels, 2 really fill you up..and hardly any fat.. i could eat this 3 times a day!Goes Well With:Peanut butter Suger free maple syrup Made with fat free 1 calories spray oil
So I don't usually review products but this will change in the future. Maple syrup version: This thing tasted more of chemicals than anything else. I could not wait to get the taste out of my mouth. I had to eat something right after and gargle with mouthwash to be okay again. I bought the 1kg foolishly and I know it was a waste of money because it will sit on top my shelf forever.Goes Well With:less chemicals
Really quick easy to make tasty as well very low carb so cute in with my keto diet as well
Sorry but yuk! Tastes far too artificial. Is it necessary to put so much flavouring in?
Was sceptical trying this, although tastes very nice and provides a filling protein substitute, would recommend using a non-stick pan though as burns quite easilyGoes Well With:Bananas and blueberries
Followed instructions. These tasted bland and had a horrid texture. So disappointing.
Nice but mixability could be improved.Goes Well With:Sauces
I would like to say that this is an amazing product. I tried Golden Syrup and it tastes very good. If you just want to chug down then you can do that too. But you will find it way too sweet but when making these into pancakes, they turn to be very good. When I made them for the first time, it was more of a Crepes/Pancakes but they were amazing. It takes a while to get them right but you will find that they are very good breakfast or treat. I just wish that they would make a good description of how to make these into a perfection because sometimes, it is hard to get them right.Goes Well With:black currants, nuts and myprotein syrup.
I got the Golden Syrup pancake mix and this has become part of my morning routine on the weekends. The pancakes taste exactly like Golden Syrup and are a great start to my mornings. 50g of mix + milk = 4 / 5 pancakes that are delicious and ready to eat within 10mins! In my eyes, these taste better than the normal pancake batter from supermarkets (plus without the stickiness from pouring syrup on the pancakes). Recommended to everyone for a great start to their Saturday & Sunday mornings (and every day in the week) or even as a snack. Goes Well With:Oats, chopped bananas and cup of tea :)
made these pancakes following the instructions. Did not mix as well as it could, a little lumpy. A little sticky when frying/ flipping. When eating the pancakes they were chewy, I chucked most of the mix away... Will give them another chance and try again with the rest of the pack.
Althoug the batter seemed a bit runny at first I managed to get perfect big pancakes. The chocolate taste is subtle and mild...really nice with some berry jam (blackcurrant) and greek yoghurt. Great for those who want to start their day with chocolate cake-like breakfast!Goes Well With:Greek yoghurt, blackcurrant jam, peanutbutter, almond butter
Firstly I know how to cook pancakes. They mix great. These were like rubber coated cardboard even when hot. You could roll it up and it bounces back into shape. I accidentally dropped one and it literally bounced like a rubber frizzbie. They are inedible me and my partner tried smearing Nutella on every bit and still couldn't swallow without holding our noses and drinking lots of water. Bought the tasteless one to add our own maple syrup but the smell is nauseating to the point in which we checked the sell by date. Such a waste of money I actailly am very unsatisfied with what I was sold and feel ripped off!
Perfect start of the day if you need that sweeter start. Absolutely love this mixGoes Well With:Any fruits and nuts and whatever you like really
I have the golden syrup ones. I'm on low carb diet, high fat so mix these with full fat cream and water and they are delicious. Doesn't need syrup.
I was very pleased with the size of a portion which was four times the size I expected! filling and very tasty. 100% happy. I've had them for breakfast, dessert and as an evening snack - on different days of course.Goes Well With:Blueberry syrup and suspect any of the syrups available on my protein.
Being a pancake and waffle fan, this did not fulfil my expectations. Pros: taste is good, macros are great, mixes well (add liquid little by little) Cons: once slightly cold it turns into pure rubber. I have tried several protein pancakes mixes, and done homemade, and this is the worse so far. It really turns hard once it gets cold. I couldn't even finish it. won't buy again. Goes Well With:TONS of water otherwise you can't swallow it.
The pancakes came out perfectly every time, very easy to make but they were far too sweet for me and i have a sweet tooth.
On their own they're kind of rubbery, however, I added 30 g of greek yoghurt to the mix, and they are moist and delicious.
I am addicted to these pancakes. I am using the chocolate flavour at the moment and have also purchased the golden syrup one which I am looking forward to try! So easy to make . Really good value for money. Goes Well With:Myprotein Crunchy Peanut Butter
Good product for its value. Got maple syrup flavour taste sweet but not that nice. Good to mix up instead of having a shake. Will try another flavour next time
Everyone says it's really good... Light and fluffy... No! I eat pancakes all the time, I made a stack of 4 small pancakes useing this mix, they smelt amazing! (Golden syrup). But I took a bite and almost choked! They were so chewie and hard! I don't know if I over cooked them or did something wrong but I couldn't even finish them! Like I said I make pancakes all the time so I'm sure I didn't over cook them... But I will try again with them the will have to see what happens!
Easy to make, easy to cook and tastes really good.Goes Well With:Eggs and bacon
This protein powder makes the best lazy protein cake - mix 2 scoops with around 150ml of water and throw it in the microwave for around 1.5 min (stir a couple times in between) It doesnt taste as sweet as when fried and the texture is amazing.Goes Well With:water
I love these plain with the My Protein Butterscotch Syrup or add in some chocolate protein or Danish Cinnamon protein... Yummm!!! I prefer to mix it with a small bit of hot water first so it won't clump! Goes Well With:My protein butterscotch syrup My protein Chocolate whey Protein My protein cinnamon whey protein
I've had the plain 1 before and usually put cinnamon in the mix to give it some taste. After trying this 1 I won't be going back! This is the best tasting pancake mix I've had!Goes Well With:Peanut butter! (What doesn't go well with peanut butter?) lather the pancake with peanut butter and it tastes amazing
Pancakes tasted amazing!!! Satisfied my sweet tooth so well now addicted to the stuff!!Goes Well With:It tastes amazing with MySyrup and peanut butter. It tastes really good with a protein cookie crumbled over the top of it too
Pleasantly surprised. Ordered these on a whim to try them out and they're pretty good. Fairly filling with some decent nutritional stats so might use them as a snack when craving something sweet. One thing to note is that the maple syrup flavour is a bit artificial tasting so think I'll go for the plain ones and add my own flavour next time.
I bought the plain mix, easy to make the mixture, fried well and puffed up like American pancakes. The taste however is quite bland and very egg heavy. Almost too must soGoes Well With:Syrup, chocolate sauce
Fabulous for breakfast or dessertGoes Well With:A table spoon of Yeo valley yogurt, bramble jelly and wholemeal peanut butter
I have tried pretty much every kind of protein/low carb pancake recipe there is out there (mainly Pinterest!) and not one of them hasn't made me gag - complete waste of protein and efforts! Having a sweet tooth, I loved the idea of having guilt free pancakes - then I found these! Obviously they will never be like the usual carb-filled stodgy yummyness- but they are good enough! 2 scoops of this with 125ml water cooked in fry light - perfecto! The golden syrup are fairly sweet but I still drizzled mine with zero sugar butterscotch syrup and a handful of almonds :) would also be nice with peanut butter or Greek yoghurt! Yummy and guilt free - winner!!! :DGoes Well With:Zero sugar syrup (my protein) Honey Nut butters Greek yoghurt Fruit/dried fruit Nuts
So much better than the protein pancakes I was making myself. Light and fluffy.Goes Well With:Blueberries, 0% fat yogurt, 0 sugar MP syrup.
I am keto and needed my pancake fix after my daily workouts.. the protein pancake mix is perfect and only 11g carbs per 100ml woohoo! Goes Well With:I have mine with raspberries, almonds and of course crunchy peanut butter YUM
Absolutely fantastic taste, no need to mix anything else with it. Extremely impressed with the mix, will buy again.Goes Well With:Everything
I thot this would be a shambles as me making pancakes doesnt go 2 well. So easy. 2 large scoops mix with 150ml of almond milk or whatever milk you like or water and bobs your uncle!! I made one large pancake out of it rather than several smaller ones. I chose maple syrup flavour and the taste was perfect. Highly recommend. Great source of protein for all the little calories involved.
The Protein Pancakes are fantastic. They taste great and so easy to make. They can be made really quickly and can be used as a breakfast, dessert or a snack. I'm glad I bought them and will definately get them again.Goes Well With:I have mine with Greek yogurt and mixed berries but you can have them with anything. They even taste great by themself.
Tried the golden syrup flavor and OH MY! Absolute heaven! Usually not a fan of protein mixes unless it was whey powder only, and i also make my own protein pancakes but this mixture is just perfect. Can't wait to mix it with eggs and make the promlette recipe that i found on this site. Will definitely be getting more. It also literally takes minutes to make which saves tons of time on a busy day, not to mention the macros too. Weigh your scoops though cause two scoops weigh about 60g and not 50.
Great for breakfast, lunch or even just a snack and tastes really good!Goes Well With:Fruit or the my protein branded syrup
Amazing tasting pancakes packed full of protein. Always turn out so thick and fluffy. 100% would recommend Goes Well With:My syrup, some butter or they go great with Nutella and strawberries on a little cheat day!
Bought this as a quick meal fix for the whole day. Well if you're good at making pancakes then great It's messy and just sticks to the pan don't to user error mostly. Taste ok and a good source of protein when get the mix right. Well worth the buy if you can get the pancake mix right and cooked! I'm sticking to protein whey mix no mess with cooking.
Great guilt free breakfast or snack. Mixes well, quite thick so done does get stuck in shakers and wastes, can be solved with a spatchula. Goes Well With:Golden syrup, mixed with milk. Grilled turkey bacon. Poached eggs. Healthiest alternative to a fry up you'll get.
First time review even though I have been a customer for many years. I was getting a little tired of the usual 5 egg omelette for breakfast (4 egg whites + 1 whole). This makes a good alternative and is very easy to use. I have crepe maker which is basically just a hot plate so it is very easy to blend the mix and pour straight on to the hot plate. Few minutes and flip, it does not get much easier in the morning. Spread of organic peanut butter (thin) gives it a bit of a change too. Roll it up and eat it like you would a tortilla.Goes Well With:Organic Peanut Butter
Have been buying this pancake mix for a while now, makes great tasty and filling pancakes, crepe or American style, and recently I have discovered you can make Yorkshire puddings with it too! Amazing!! Definitely recommend this product.Goes Well With:Blueberries and almond butter
This review specifically refers to the maple syrup flavour pancake mix. The maple syrup flavouring didn't taste anything like maple syrup (which I love) but very strongly of artificial sweeteners. In order to actually make the pancakes palatable I drowned them in strawberry jam which obviously made them bit carb heavy. I tried the unflavoured ones (3*) too and while the flavour was ok they had the same slightly rubbery texture of the maple syrup ones. In future I'll just stick with real pancakes as a cheat meal once a week and keep using MyProtein's shakes for protein supplements!
This is the forst time I have ordered the pancake mix, I ordered the Golden Syruo flavour and have to say it is a little on the sweet side. Other than that they tatse good, but I think next time I will order the plain flavour and add my own sweetner such as honey or syrup.
