it's not terrible but it's not the best either. has a rubbery like texture and doesn't have much taste but the portions are good size and mixes well with any sauce. not sure if i would buy again though
Thought I would try and go low carb using these products. I tried the first pack and just the smell made me feel sick tried to eat some..... just didn't happen, mixed it with some sauce and it was still awful I ended up giving it away and even they couldn't eat it!Goes Well With:Somthing with alot of flavor to cover it!
My Pasta (the whole range) is amazing, but it's not pasta and that's what people need to realise. It's a fantastic substitute, but it is made from a yam and will have a rubbery texture. Either you deal with the texture and still have your pasta meals, or you don't eat pasta, simple as. I love it and as an Italian I can't deal with no pasta. It's a really great way to eat all of the sauces and things that I'm used to without worrying about the carbs. If you have an issue with the smell or slight taste, boil for 3-5 minutes and then fry in a dry pan until it starts to make popping noises. It gets rid of all the moisture and allows a slightly firmer texture and better absorption of sauces. Goes Well With:Any Pasta sauce in the whole world!
not a single bit even like penne!! These are really expensive for what they are. and these ones arent great at all. ive had another brands from groupon which are tons better. im really dissapointed with these! tiny portions aswell
I've tired a large variety of products from Myprotein and I've been really pleased with everything I had received up until these came through my door. I had tried the Konjac flour noodles and rice and enjoyed both of those as a side for various dishes. I found the noodles and rice not too dissimilar to the real deal but these are something else. I don't see myself as a fussy eater in the slightest but I couldn't even bring myself to eat one mouthful of these Mypenne things. If I had a dog, I still wouldn't feed them to it. Goes Well With:The bin.
What is it?? Fishy smell and like rubber! More like squid than pasta! The concept is a good idea but don't waste your money!! A big let down for my protein! Goes Well With:Nothing!!
If you're cutting, this is great. Low cals, no fuss- a little chewy, but trust me you'll be full after. Smells funny, but fine after a wash. Good stuff! Goes Well With:bolognese rocket cheese
Tried to mix this with sauces and the texture is weird its slimy and doesn't even look like penne [pasta or the picture in the packaging. I dont think I would ever by this again. it looks all pale and literally looks like raw squid tentacles.. You've been warned it does not look like the picture haha
I thought I'd give it a try as I'm on a low carb diet, but I simply cannot stand the smell, texture and looks of the pasta. The MyRice isn't as bad because it mixes well with the sauces but the pastas, noodles and spaghetti are just not for me. They are effective in terms of filling and low carb product. I am able to eat all kinds of foods although this is just too much, it has a very strong smell of fish and slimy and weird texture. I would honestly not buy it unless you can pretty much stomach anything, I thought I could. Not too satisfied to be honest, quite disappointed!Goes Well With:Chicken and sauces if you can stomach it.
Low carb product!!!!! great for when im on a cut and trying to cut back my daily intake while remaining full. Goes really well with a low carb pasta sauceGoes Well With:chicken
I eat pretty much anything, but I could not stomach this pasta! Firstly it does not look anything like the packaging, it is white, slimy, rubbery, smells awfuls and its just vial tasting! I bought this as well as the noodle version and they are equally disgusting. Do not buy this. Not eatable and waste of money.Goes Well With:Bin
I bought this with high hopes as I have never had a bad product from my protein & absolutely love pasta so thought I was into a winner! Unfortunately this product is not good at all. For starters it looks nothing like the pasta on the front of the box, (I understand it's not going to be like normal pasta..) however it is white and has a very odd smell and the texture is very odd and rubbery. Would not recommend.
Pasta feels a little like quid rings in your mouth! will probably taste okay covered in sauce but its a little slimy/ rubberyGoes Well With:Not sure
This pasta looks nothing like advertised on the box! White, fishy smelling and slimy! They aid weight loss because they are practically inedible!
Zero taste, penne is supposed to tubes not round lumps of slimy fish smelling rubber, could not eat one piece, even the dog didn't try and steal itGoes Well With:Dustbins
These noodles come out of the pack slippery and slimy, with an odd smell (to anyone not familiar with konjac noodles). The trick is to rinse them well, and dry fry them in a non-stick pan without oil to improve the texture so that they are more like pasta cooked "al dente". Unfortunately, because of their shape, the inside of the noodle never touches the pan so the texture remains quite glutinous and does not absorb sauce as well as they should. The spaghetti or fettuccine are much better IMO as you can fry them for quite some time until you get the texture you desire. Goes Well With:Thicker, cream or cheese based sauces - marinara or oil based sauces may not stick to the noodles as well.
Strange texture, funny smell, no taste ... When you rinse it under cold water, smell disappears. Perfect with spicy sauces. It's a great filler (with no carbs).Goes Well With:Peri Peri Chicken, Thai Chicken, any spicy sauce.
This is great if you can stomach the texture. For me, it was too much like that of squid. In fact, it has that kind of smell when you open the packet... It has zero flavour so perfect if you want it to take on spice flavours. I wouldn't buy it again, but it certainly does the job as a filler without any carbs (even if the packets are smaller than expected).
no calories no carbs add spices soaks it all in for great flavours filling great with anything, meat sauce great priceGoes Well With:meat, veg sauce, spice anything! make your own meal creation!
